The one of the many things I enjoyed about Edgar Cayce is his meekness. He offered solutions through prophecy. Using the scriptures as a way out for the world. He didn't offer services other then what God gave him to offer. I'm sure those who charge for their work (work of God) should know Edgar Cayce never made money from prophecy. He could have made billions in money but he refused and the one time he did help someone I think something happened (it did not go good).

I've explained this 2 times in this thread. I have even, in the OP, quoted the exact reading you are referring to.

Edgar Cayce said that the CAUSES would begin in 1998, meaning global warming.

He explicitly and clearly states that the exact dates for when Japan would go into the sea, new land rising, and the earth changes could not be given to the people of his time.

Read Edgar Cayce's lips, he says the causes of these things happening would BEGIN in 1998, not that they would manifest all in 1998.

up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of
Japan must go into the sea. The upper portion of Europe will
be changed as in the twinkling of an eye. Land will appear
off the east coast of America. There will be the upheavals

Modern science now confirms all of this is in the process of happening, it's called global warming and it's scientific fact. The Earth is changing and the poles are melting. When did man made global warming really screw over the planet and do the most harm? 58 to 98 mostly, and we WILL see all these things happen and we WILL see the earth change.

So your sources are all lies and misrepresentations, Edgar Cayce clearly states that exact dates for earth changes CANNOT be given to ordinary people

Good point clg79. Cayce was a very giving soul. In fact he brought on his own demise through his refusal to stop giving readings for people.

And I fully agree with your comments about those who charge for God given gifts. Anyone who has a spiritual gift should not charge others money for it, if they use them to advise or assist others in any way.

This includes psychics. So if you go to get a psychic reading from anyone, they should not be charging for it. To do so is an insult to the Creator who gave them that gift to help others, not for personal monetary gain.

The only way it is acceptable to charge for any spiritual gift is when there is a physical object exchanged for the money. A book is a good example. It is a physical object and a lot of expense goes into making a book and publishing and printing it, so it can be charged for regardless of the spiritual topic(s) involved.

And no this doesn't mean that a psychic can charge $20, $50 or $100 or more for a reading and just give you a copy of this reading on a cassette tape or cd. That doesn't qualify because the tape or cd only cost pennies in most cases and only contains a copy of what should have been given for free. So an honest psychic will only charge you for the original cost of the tape or cd, which shouldn't be more than a $1 in most cases.

As Far as Cayce being right or wrong about the exact time of his predictions, he himself did say many of the things he forsaw didn't have to happen exactly when he said they would or even at all in some cases. He said it depended on what people would or wouldn't do in the future and of course the will of the Creator. The Creator can withhold, delay or stop entirely, any earth changes or other future predictions at his sole discretion. And it does appear this is what indeed has occured with many of the earth changes Cayce predicted.

But I do have copies of Cayce books going back to the early 1970's and I have not observed any of the newer books, put out by the ARE, being altered in any way from these originals. That is, the Cayce predictions are still the same as they were then. What may have changed is the authors of these books often attempt to intrepret what Cayce was saying, and they often miss the mark. But the original Cayce readings have not changed since they were originally put down on paper.

Sometimes people would sneak in a question about the stock market or a horse race and Edgar Cayce would become very sick afterwards when he came out of trance

The effects of global warming are already widespread. It is very apparent where i live, so many pine trees are being wiped out by beetles that aren't being killed because the winters are no longer cold enough. Global warming, the melting of the poles, and the coming earth shift is VERY real.
