We have had a couple of spots open and I would like to reiterate what chissler has said...please consider the time obligation. If you are unsure as to your capacity to participate, please begin a Challenge Match to get used to the process!

Mem, bodrul and I have been trying to get a debate arranged but incapable of coming down on a topic. When you get a chance in the next day or two, do you think you could assign us one? Just pick something random and assign us a position.

We're looking for a shortened debate though.

Instead of the standard five, let's go with three posts aside.

Well, i'm open to any debate type.

Awesome! Are we allowed to call dibs on the 'con' position? Just thought I'd be a brat and at least ask.

If you want to get in a Challenge Match prior to the tournament, with enough time to effect your ranking, now is the time to do it, guys and gals...



Brat...erm...Ashley ( )....calling dibs on either pro or con is acceptable if it's agreed upon by both participating Fighters, which generally includes a discussion of the topic. Without that, I decide the old fashioned way....a coin flip.

Can someone please point me in the direction of a thread or something that explains the rules and guidelines that govern debates?

The Debate Forum

Start with "Rankings, Rules and Bill of Rights".

To get debate specific rules, just click on any of the debates for a summation. During Challenge Match season, these rules may be changed as long as both Fighters agree and it is communicated prior to the Debate.

During Tournament Season...rules are non-negotiable. Which is a major reason I stress a consideration of the time obligation involved in new Fighters taking on a tourney.

Also, for all new Fighters...rankings won't be handed out until just prior to your first debate. Until then, you are resigned to keeping communications up in this thread or by u2u. And remember, This is Fight Club...as soon as the title is bestowed upon you....you have to Fight...

Okay, I just read through the rules and regs. I think I am pretty sure how this works but being that I am a total newbie to this process I figure the best way to get my feet wet is to jump right in.

So I am up for a challenge if anyone else is looking for one. I am not particular, I will accept any subject and any side. Just doing this to feel out the process.

So bring it!

I'm a little confused on the format of this debate.

That being said, I would enjoy debating someone on a few subjects

Global Warming - I want to argue my case against "man-made" global warming, or that it actually exists

Politics - No-Bama

UFOlogy - an intelligent debate on the existence or nonexistence of sentient life in the universe other than on earth.

Conspiracy Theory - any 9/11 conspiracy or government conspiracy.

I'm a night-time poster.
So, I'm available during 11pm - 7am CST on weekdays, and anytime on weekends.

If that's not a problem, I'm free to debate anything.

Hope you are well, It looks like I am going to have to forgo my participation in the debate this time around.

It seems that AshleyD is not back yet and I dont think I have time for a practice or gain in ranking before events kick off. So please give my position to another fighter!
