I've taken the liberty to look up the top money donors to each candidate.
The information is available at opensecrets.org. These are not direct contributions by the companies but rather by "bundling" various members of
these organizations contributions together.
Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential
candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families).
How do supporters of each candidate feel about the fact that the same Wall St. firms are heavilly invested or hedged in each candidate? I also notice
that two major media companies GE (MSNBC, NBC, CNBC) and Time Warner (CNN) are on Obama's top donor list. Not only is Obama in these folks hearts (as
evidenced by their coverage of him) he's also in their wallets.
Disclocure: I'm once again undecided, neither of these candidates have my undivided support and I still have roughly 3 1/2 months to decide.
