As previously stated, this does have a lot of signs on the 1918 outbreak of Spanish Flu. H1N1 was the Influenza A subtype strain that caused the
trouble. I don't think that it is H5N1 right now because not enough cases have been reported -- if H5N1 has mutated and is now human-to-human
transmitted, then there should be thousands of cases already. Animal and strains have been linked; for example H5N1 is bird flu, there is another
strain called swine flu - ever thought it might be that strain ? Those strains are H1N1, H1N2, H3N1 and H3N2. NOT H5N1.
If your not sure about bird flu, follow my signature; it should help.
