I have been hearing on the radio in chicago (wls 890 AM) that congress is preparing to take a two month vacation spanning through the end of
september... but after trying to research this on the internet I have been unable to find any news.
It seems quite disturbing that congress would decide to take a two month vacation with our economy on the brink of faliure.
Have any of you heard this news?

Our skiving, nose in the feedbag under achievers, clear off for 76 days this year for summer. Funny thing is that nobady actually notices, the country
steadily goes down hill whether they sit in parliament or not !!

So close to the election seems like an odd time to be absent from the processes they control.

Let the games begin, and I don't mean the ones in China. So, yeah, I live in DENVER. Imagine what a nuke going off during the DNC next month would
do the general populace. It would mean panic and scramble. Strange times indeed.

Yeah, it reminds me of how the Bin Laden family was escorted out of the country immediately after 9/11 with government help and blessings, and also
how I have heard that many were told not to go to work at the World Trade Center when that fiasco happened.

The biggest problem I can see with this is, is that Congress indeed returns .
Now, if only they would take a Permanant Vacation, things might improve.

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I first started hearing about this...
It does indeed seem very strange they would leave right now when the country needs them. Even though they dont do much good... Seems like congress
know something we dont.
