Please read the 1st paragraph in the link to NASA:

- on the 14th of September, Roger Clark of the USGS called to say there was a concern with asbestos contamination at the WTC disaster site.

- Throough the support of NASA HQ and others, AVIRIS flew the disaster site on the 16th, 18th, 22nd and 23rd.

- AVIRIS contributed in three areas:
- Hot spot location and temperature determination
- Asbestos mapping
- Debris composition and distribution mapping

Thats odd, no mention of radiation? Why is that, ULTIMA1?

That odd, you still keep ignoring the fact that the EPA requested the flyover.

WHY IS THAT GAVRON?

I"m just posting the facts. The fact that the OP is a lie, and there was no request to have the AVIRIS check for radiation at the WTC location.

But keep lying, its what you seem to do best.

No you are not posting the full facts.

You keep ignoring the fact that the EPA requested the flyover.

Lets see what NASA has to say about checking for radiation:

The EPA requested (through the USGS) NASA do a flyover of the WTC area using the AVIRIS system to check for hotspots, and toxic or radiation in the area.

This statement is false. There was no request for the AVIRIS to check for radiation. Here is the USGS request for the NASA flyover, and what they requested:

trs-new.jpl.nasa.gov...

Here is Robert Greens and Roger Clarks from USGS report, on request to use AVIRIS and results:

popo.jpl.nasa.gov...

As you can see, the evidence is clear. No request for the AVIRIS to check for radiation.

NO the statement is correct as proven.

Yes the evidence is clear that the EPA requested the flyover.

Proven wrong, and yet you continue to lie. How desperate is your conspiracy that you have to lie about the radiation claim?

You have no proof of ANY request to have AVIRIS check for radiation at the WTC site.

For someone searching for the truth, you sure seem to lie / hide from it.

I'll just continue to post the link proving you wrong, so everyone can laugh at your silly conspiracy dance.

1 more time then i put you on ignore if you are not adult enough to admit the facts.

1. The EPA requested the flyover.

2. The EPA was worried about radiation at the site.

But the flyover request was not to check for radiation. You seem to always avoid that, ULTIMA1. I'm just posting the truth.

The request to NASA from Roger Clark of the USGS was for the following:

- Hot spot location and temperature determination
- Asbestos mapping
- Debris composition and distrubution mapping.

Until you can accept that fact, your original post is simple wrong.

In response to requests from the EPA through the USGS, NASA flew AVIRIS on a De Havilland Twin Otter over lower Manhattan at mid-day on September 16 and 23, 2001. For these deployments, the Twin Otter was flown at altitudes of 6,500 and 12,500 feet.

However, there is no evidence whatsoever that the AVIRIS was requested to check the WTC location for radiation. This is according to NASA, and the USGS reports using the AVIRIS data.

How does the issue of who requested it have any bearing on what was detected?

I see no mention of scanning for radiation and no mention of it in the results which is hardly surprising because that type of scanning (for dangerous ionising radiation) is normally done on the ground closer to the source, not from 6000+ feet in the air.

Becasue the EPA was worred about asbestos, radiation and other toxins at the site. So it requested a flyby to see what was at the site.
