Ive always been a cognac fan myself, but decided to try something different for a change. I saw this at the store today...

35 years old vintage. $810.00

Is this a normal price for this? I told the man at the Spirits store he was crazy.
Brand was Bunnahabhain. (had to google that btw)

35 years old? Never opened? Single batch? Yea that's bout right on the money.

A 12 year old single barrel Kentucky bourbon whisky called Bookers usually retails somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-80 dollars. (I have found it for 40 but that's rare)

Yes, it's real. That's the going price, more or less, for a bottle of Bunnahabhain 35-year-old whisky. This is a special variety, distilled to cater to fools with too much money.

The regular 12-year old variety costs much less - around $50 or so, depending on where in the world you live, of course.

I love Islay malts (see my profile), though I prefer the stronger-tasting ones: Laphroaig and Lagavulin.
