WOW.

I was side swiped.
I was thinking of a top ten that had zero relation to your top ten.

But if you need to get dirty then I guess the whole idea of any sort of scale for anything flies out the window leaving you with a flatline.

Myth #4) The Bureau routinely spies on the American people.

The revelations come amid a fierce congressional debate over reauthorization of the USA Patriot Act, an anti-terrorism law passed after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The Patriot Act granted the FBI new powers to conduct secret searches and surveillance in the United States.

It has also involved teams of Defense Intelligence Agency personnel stationed in major U.S. cities conducting the type of surveillance typically performed by the FBI: monitoring the movements and activities -- through high-tech equipment -- of individuals and vehicles, the official said.

The FBI releasing a Top Ten list of myths...about the FBI...

Because there's nothing on this list they may want to keep hidden. So of course they're going to be honest in their assessments of the top ten myths about themselves.

This list is as useful as Al Qaeda releasing a top ten list about the myths of terrorism.

But hey, as long as the FBI says it isn't true, it isn't true!

I got one for them to add

Myth #11) Our top ten list is truthful and unbiased

The page you linked to is very well written and presents the bureau in quite a nice light. I'm not sure if everything written there is completely true, but I think there is no question that everyone in the agency is not as problematic as it's first director.

The following interview, conducted by Ali G., in addition to being very funny, shows that FBI agents can be good guys too. The agent interviewed does allow that occasionally rules are bent.

I guess, in light of the FBI anniversery, I must say that any dealing I have had with the FBI has turned out to be good.

I can only attest to their expertise given to save others in harms way.

Happy Anniversery FBI.www.fbi.gov...
