Dear Uncle Sam,

The American government seems to be bailing out everyone these days.

- The Iraqi People (How's thier school and infra-structure system comming along these days?)
- The airline industry - post 9/11
- Fire and police agencies nationwide - post 9/11
- The oil industry
- Bear sterns
- Fannie and Freddie
- IndyMac Bank
- The American taxpayer (Stimulous checks)
- This space reserved - To be announced
- etc

I figure that for us to continue to afford a middle class lifestyle we're gonna need some more free money from the government.

Maybe you could send us some cash to cover the property taxes on our house seeing as how our mortgage payments are kinda overwhelming. Health care and retirement planning are proving to be a challenge these days, so you're gonna need to help us out with that as well.

I figure that since you're sending free money to everyone these days you wouldn't mind sending us some more free money. We already spent what you just sent us and we're gonna need some more, so that we can gas up our SUV and take the kids to disneyworld.

Best regards you're nephew,

Carl Consumer

P.S. - How's the war going, are you winning?

The state of the economy is a current event.

We are requesting more working capital from the American government so that we can remain solvent. Remember a well funded consumer keeps depression away.

We are awaiting instructions from the major media outlets on where to spend our next round of free government money.
