Yes...that's exactly what I know of Communism; and I don't appreciate being called "ignorant" because I don't support such a clearly flawed logic.

Tell me again why we need a "classless" society?

If everyone ends up equal, what motivation is there to work hard and make new developments and innovations? Oh that's right...there isn't.

Regardless, this thread is not for the debating of Communism as a political philosophy.

Thanks anyway.

I don't support it either, but the out-dated "commies" kind of mentality is really quite tiresome.

Like i said, all ideologies/philosophies/belief systems (IN THEORY) are great, but it is the corruption by men/women that taint these systems.

So you prefer having a few rich people pulling all the strings and making the decisions for you?

People demonstrate and protest all the time and very seldom does it make a difference.

We need a classless system in place so we are more equal and the kind of prejudice we see day to day are irrelevant.
you would work hard to provide for your family and for the advancement of your fellow people and the planet.

But anyway, your mind is made up(thats why i said ignorant) so i'll leave it at that.

Capitalism rules!!!

It is frightening and indicative of where we're headed. But still, I think the far-left that agrees with this stuff, while growing, only composes perhaps about 15-20% of the population. The rest just want something new and shiny, or they want to go with the supposedly 'trendy and cool' pick regardless of substance, both of which pretty much sum up Obama's candidacy.

In other words, even though Obama stands a good chance of winning, I'm not really that worried about it...yet. His supporters are very vocal, but overall, his support his actually rather shallow. Even the average mainstream Dem tends to be mildly conservative in America's heartland and the ones I know are not supporting him. I don't think a bunch of socialist reforms will go over well at all, even in our current political environment.

You're wrong.
We would have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to be aware of this kind of thing. My God, it's slapped in our faces constantly.

But , I, at least, am sensible enough to know that what someone hangs in their office is not a reflection of Obama. Unless you can show me where Obama himself has it in HIS office, it's not my concern.

What I would object to is if Obama told them they had to take it down and infringed on their freedom of speech. That would be a problem for me.

Good posts vor.
Edit: Not the last one, the ones before that.

Yes, but I believe you to be one of the minority who actually knows what this man stands for.

I think the majority are just caught up in the hype and his rock-star image.

And I agree these people have every right to their freedom of speech by the way.

Just because people don't come on ATS and defend their position and beliefs like I do, doesn't mean they have their heads in a hole somewhere chanting Obama praises. I'm the strange one, who for some insane reason, feels a need to let my complete position be known.

There are plenty of us discussing the issues that we disagree with Obama on... No one I know agrees with him 100%. There are more rational Obama supporters than you're aware of.

i dont know man.

dont get me wrong, im 100% agianst communism (which turns into fascism almost immediantly)

but we dont exactly live in a capitalist society either.
in the market today, there is forming at a quick pace, monopolys everywhere.

the gov't bails out huge corporations like ford or boeing when they go under, which is 100% anti-capitalist

in a true capitalism , we let the big guys fall if they cant manage their company right
but in america, we bail them out
i call that Corporate communism

so i guess your right, in a communist world, i dont have any modivation to achieve anything worthy of note.

And being that im a lower class person, and live in the USA, your 100% right. I dont have any modivation to start my own buisness, or work for anyone elses buisness for that matter.

Starting my own buisness is nearly impossible these days, dont think i dont have any ideas or plans, i have several great ideas.

And why should I work for someone elses buisness and spend my whole life suffering just to "barely make it by" ? I would rather just be poor honestly lol

Being poor and not working for them, I at least have my dignity and get to enjoy my life while it lasts (and it wont last much longer)

Ill tell you what tho.
The minute the US govt abolishes these communist practices, Ill be out on the front fighting to build my own buisness. And it will succeed. But as of right now, living in a quasi-corporate communism ; I have absolutely no modivation to even bother with it.

And thats really too bad, you would have LOVED my Burger. Its the best in the world, and affordable. (Extremely Tasty)
You would have loved buying solar panals from me. I would have cut you a great deal.

Have you looked at how buisness law is set up these days? Id rather not get mixed up in that nightmare.

Bring back the good ol days , like my grandfather lived in. He owned 5 small buisnesses. Five.
Bring me back those days, and Ill have at least 2 buisnesses running within 2years. And Ill make sure they are successes. Im not an idiot, I have a college education.

But making a brand new buisness in a corporate communistic society, is Extremely risky. Too risky.

I could almost swear it looks like a "Communism for the rich, slavery for the poor" type system. I hope im wrong about all of this, but im afraid im not.

And electing Obama OR mccain will only continue this communism, in fact , it will Strengthen it.
Dont think Mccain isnt a commi either, because he definatly is.

You want my opinion, the entire gov't is filled to the brim with commi's.
I just dont like it 1 bit.

I want Free Market Capitalism, Laize Faire economics. *spelling?

Ill add one last thing, You know why the wealthy elite want our economic system this way? So people like me cant start a new burger stand, with exceptional ideas, and turn it into the next McDonalds, in fact, I would put them outta buisness if i opened next door to them. I garuntee it.
Thats why they dont want Capitalism anymore. They are consolidating the market for themselves.

And thats why i said it turns into fascism almost immediantly.

Ill stop rambling now, but you get the point. Im sick of communism.

Thank you for posting that.
I honestly didn't know who the man was.
And now, I wonder what's the problem with having a picture of him... Not asking, just wondering.

So, you would have no problem if a presidential candidate seemed to have lots of Stalin flags? Hell, pick your murderous dictator and tell me why you think it would be ok to have flags of them flying in your campaign offices?

My pleasure. I'm not into the communist thing, but I look at Che as a man who stood up for the little guy and he had heart. I may not agree with everything about the man, but I admire him.

Hi. Communist, here! (Yes, I'm aware of all the flaws of forcing communism on others, and yes, I know of the horrible things that the Soviet Union did. Lawful evil, sort of - they may have followed the communist manifesto, but they forgot that Marx and pals wanted to STOP oppression with it - they forgot its purpose. What's the point of following the law if you go against its purpose, any ways?)

Regardless of that, I do think it's a photoshop. It certainly looks like it could be, and I wouldn't be surprised - it's horrifically easy to do. All one needs is patience.

So yes, don't be so quick to judge. Besides, whilst I don't quite support Obama (or Hillary or McCain), methinks he's not a communist.

And what's with all the communist hate, anyways? Orwell was a Trotskyist, and isn't he the one that, whilst explaining the situation in the Soviet Union with Animal Farm and 1984, simultaneously happened to predict what we in the US would end up doing? Sans socialism, or course. Not all communists are out to eat your babies, and I should know. Fresh cod is a much healthier and morally acceptable alternative.

EDIT: And if you want to argue with me about communism, socialism, and the like, please leave it to U2Us. I don't want this thread to go off topic. I have my beliefs, and you have yours; we're probably not going to be able to convince each other otherwise. Though, I suppose that the best we can do is attempt to justify our opinions. Regardless, leave the justifying to U2Us, for the sake of the thread.

Any Elected Official In America That Embraces Communist Ideals Has No Business Being In Any Office In This Country At All . And If I Was In That Judges Court I Would Tear Down That Freakin Poster In A Heartbeat . Jail Or No Jail ! It Just Goes To Show Ya What Kinda Liberal Ideals These Obama Fanatics Really Embrace . This Needs To Be Shown To The Entire Country . Guess Most Of Us Had Obama Figured Out Right From The Start After All .

And it is not at all mindless to reject someone because there are two pictures of two other people on the internet who fly flags you object to.

Lets get over the flags, since that only supports the notion that communists support Obama. Along with two communists who support Obama, there are many non communists who support him as well.

I could post a couple of pictures of McCain supporters with a picture of Castro in the background. I am fairly certain there are at a minimum two communists who support McCain, given the wide support claimed for him in polls. So you see you must also reject McCain.

This whole line of non-reasoning is mindless.

Whilst I still maintain my "LOLOL HEY GUIZ ITSA PHOTOSHOOP" theory, I do agree with the other posters than the opinions of the fans are not an accurate representation of the opinions of the canon.
