What he chooses to do is his own choice. ATS is not here for you to follow him around and harass him about something that has absolutely NOTHING to do
with what we discuss here. If you feel jilted stop subscribing and go on your way.
But do not come here and violate the rules, harass a member and post off topic just to voice a complaint that has nothing to do with this website.
The topic here is how people in the public eye that are interested in UFO's effect the field of UFOlogy. Be it positively or negatively.
Do you have any thoughts on this?
Oh and btw... I am NOT a fan. I had to google him when he joined just to get an idea who he was. So don't pass this off as a fan defending some
celeb.
This is a very annoyed LONG standing member of this community who is sick of having people breaking the rules and harassing our members who come here
for solace.

Hello again, little orange light....
I wasn't suggesting that we actually measure celebrity and see if there is a correlation...although that might be an interesting exercise one
day...nah, actually...
Anyway, I was trying to put myself in the position of extra terrestrials and how they might see us...imagine for a moment that they have planned their
contect with us, and are looking for the right way to get the message across without creating hatred and panic and a massive overreaction on our part.
If they decided to pick a witness here, wouldn't they make sure they are seen by people who wouldn't be afraid to speak out, are well enough known
to be accepted by a large number of people, and who have the time to investigate? Their reasoning might be...ok, we need them earth being to see
us...and it needs really good media coverage...we need to get them talking...what do we do...mass sightings? Invasion? Tesco's carpark? What? How
about....him, that one...he's a little off the wall....and he's sensitive to this type of stuff too....he would see us and admit it...he would tell
everyone....ok guys, line up....look, he's playing our song.....
I know chrisonabike isn't the only celebrity to have had experiences like this, but he seems like an obvious choice to me....I agree that all our
experiences are equally important, of course they are, and we are all creative whether we acknowledge it or not...it's just that if there is a PR
thing going on here with other intelligences...it seems to have worked...at least here.
They will always be seen by us and the people next door, but I know if I saw one...and I keep asking!...who would be interested? Not many people.
Cait
i dont really understand your reasoning. your saying that the aliens 'choose' celebrities because they want humans to know about them and that would
be their best avenue of publicity? ah yep.

AN IDEA FOR THE FAMOUS ENTERTAINERS ......
Here's an idea, albeit one that will likely never happen :
At least once a year these days it seems, celebrities gather together to put on a concert to draw attention to some cause, usually a charitable one.
Is the UFO phenomena not also worth a similar amount of attention, given the pursuit of TRUTH is perhaps the most important issue all human beings
should be taking responsibility for ?
Wouldn't it be exciting if a number of performers very interested in the UFO phenomena got together to stage a musical event to draw some real
attention to this subject area. They could all do cover versions of songs that relate to the subject area, put on some really brilliant appropriately
themed stage sets, intersperse the songs with some video clips of other celebrities and well known people talking about their own experiences, hand
out programmes that outline some recomended reading/websites/DVD's and information about how to report a sighting, together perhaps with some
petition for people to sign to lobby the powers that be for more disclosure..
I can JUST see Robbie descending down to stage in a UFO, the entire stadium in darkness while this UFO flashes , surrounded by mist, the music
starting out quiet as he descends then building to a crescendo when he exits the UFO in a skintight alien suit to sing "Arizona" or whatever.
The concert could be divided into different areas of the subject and although essentially entertainment, would at the same time take a serious tone
about the whole phenomena
Sure, there would be a right hullaballoo in the press , alot of flack aimed at the whole event and the celebs who take part- but that would be a short
term thing. None of us, celebs or non-celebs should give a flying fu&*(ck about what others people think about us so long as no-one is getting hurt
by our actions- as shakespeare wrote, "Above all, be true to thine own self"......and to what you believe in .
This would be an amazing and unprescedented event and it would be SO exciting to have a bunch of very famous idividuals in the entertainment industry
band together to take a stand on the issue in this very public way.....

wonderful story cosmicpixie
that is exactly what i mean!
developing through interest in persons you love or like
we choose the souls who teach us - no matter if they are our own kids or the president of the USA (no he isn.t a soul teaching me!)
you get interested in subjects you never heard of before - and maybe you detect the task of your soul
and a celeb certainly is able to reach a broader audience who are more willing to listen to dan ackroyd, robbie williams, jimmy carter etc.
same secret for charety organisations.

yes I'm deadly serious. I know it's a totally off the wall idea but sometimes it's just that kind of thing that helps a cause along. I'm so
serious that I've just gone and started a completely new thread going into more detail about it. I just think we need a GLOBAL UFO conference of
sorts. One that could reach many people at the same time. If such a conference was musically orientated and not just about speakers lecturing, many
more people would open their ears potentially. People with zero previous interest in this stuff who would never normally go to any ufo conference of
any sort might tune in simply to see what all the fuss was about or watch their favourite singer do a cover of some song off the war of the worlds
album or whatever....and may just find themselves questioning stuff they have paid little thought to before.....
If the event were free, even better. Perhaps the event could be an all dayer, with a meaty conference in the middle and music before and after.
Televise the damn thing across the globe.

Yup...that's exactly what I'm suggesting...events as big as this and as influential, are not accidents. If there are intelligences out there who are
at least as advanced as we are, why wouldn't they work that out? If they wanted us to get used to the idea that they are here, wouldn't the
quickest route to getting the message out be to appear to someone really well known? WE would do it, wouldn't we? I don't believe in co-incidence
anyway...absolutely not on this scale.

If fans are disgruntled maybe they should email www.robbiewilliams.com instead of using ATS as their medium, not really fair now is it?
Cait, very interesting point.
Chris, do you think you experienced what you did simply because of your celebrity status, or by pure luck?

a celeb as broad band internt for extra terrestriens?
as a average person would be a 56k modem?
yeah this spreads the idea and their demands as fast as lightning
don.t want to poke fun on your thought cait - neither offend you
was just an idea that rushed through my mind
so the ETs are sitting on board of the UFO and look up which celeb they might "rent"
absolutly thrilling this idea

I'm not offended at all, little orange one....it's kinda what I mean...they pick the most efficient way of getting their message out, and getting us
used to them. And on a much bigger level, we've all agreed to do it anyway...to connect with them, to be here on ATS even, to have these
conversations....to be putting the possibility out there.
I hope Chrisonabike doesn't mind me saying that I'm sure he would have agreed to do this...maybe in the space between lives where we sign our
contracts for the next incarnation...and settle on what we are to do, and achieve, and create. This is just a personal thing...don't flame me for
being a little spiritual about it! I can't help it....
