darlin(g) i think you still misunderstand me...i didnt mean in any way that blogging might save lifes...why should it?
it was more a not too serious refer to the celebrity-hype nowadays - which is still kind of the topic here.
but anyway - i try to express myself better and not making misunderstanable statements

ppl always search for heroes, but often arent able to see the heroes who are in front of their eyes...
maybe that comes with age...(seems like we were two very old ppl talking :lol )
i thought this topic was about collecting celebrity statements, songs etc about ufos and stuff. helps drawing conclusion to possible experiences ppl
might have made in general. and just for fun though...

i know! SNIP i'm 32 and making comments like that already
orange-light has opened a great thread re music - ufos already so i guess that leaves us discussing the problem, if any, of celebs influencing us in
the unknown direction. the more i read this thread the more i think it is so. not a problem just the fact.
no matter what a celeb (i'm hating that word more and more) talks about, if you are a fan of that person then you will inevitably become intrested.
be it clothing, food, music, ufos ect ect. its human nature period.
edit b/c one last thing: 08.08.08 has passed for me here in Oz and most of yours just starting so wishing you all a universe full of luck today!
big hugs to all

My guess is he still does, who wouldn't go read what others say about themselves? I wouldn't be able to resist
I'd hardly call this an invasion either, considering how huge he is in the UK and Europe.
Surely the majority of his 'fans' are now women in their 30's and 40's? Not quite the besotted teenagers hanging onto his every word like some are
making them out to be. I feel their contribution to be valuable not troublesome.
The more people we have to share their experiences or to discover what others have experienced the merrier?

just a few thoughts that came to my mind the last days
celebs:
everybody wants to get attention
some people doing kind of "striptease" in all this soap shows just to get that attention
some people are making up hoaxes of any kind to get the attention
to become a celeb for 5 minutes in their life
so it might be down to our genes that everybody got the wish to be a celeb - maybe just for 5 minutes or a second
influence of celebs /especially of mr williams on his fans
having a new b/f g/f, partner makes you listen to different music, getting interested in different subjects - you develope getting these new
perspectives on life
so i can.t see any harm that some fans are strolling around ATS, due to the influence of their fav celeb to get in contact with stuff they never heard
of before
they will develop as well
to talk about another celeb and stargazing - thanks to enlighten2012
jimi hendrix belived really in ufos
members.tripod.com...
Jimi expressed a great interest in matters of an extraterrestrial nature, had admitted seeing UFOs, and once told a reporter from The New York
Times that he was really from Mars. And he wasnit kidding either.
"There are other people in the solar system, you know, and they have the same feelings too, not necessarily bad feelings, but see, it upsets
their way of living for instance - and they are a whole lot heavier than we are."
"And it's no war games, because they all keep the same place. But like the solar system is going through a change soon and it's going to affect the
Earth in about 30 years."
On several occasions during his career, UFOs ijust happenedi to show up while Jimi was giving a concert. During the last days of his life, he
performed on the rim of an extinct volcano in Maui.Jimi played three 45-minute sets, says Henderson in his best-seller. After each set, he retired to
a special sacred Hopi Indian tent. Later, witnesses in Maui testified that they heard musical tones emanating from rocks and stones. UFOs were also
sighted over the volcano by people who called in to a local radio show. A cameraman on the set said that he fell from his perch after seeing a UFO
through his lens.

Excuse me, but my question is not out absolutely place.I simply wonder me if a celebrity can have somehow fear of the judgment of the fans, a lot of
celebrities have the tendency not to compromise too much for the public judgment.Considering that Chrisonabike is a famous character I wonder only me
if it appreciates and he wants the judgment from the fans...Or he wants to also exclude them from this, for fear of a judgment, for fear not to be
understood or more simply for the simple fact what he doesn't want that they interact with him now.It is a simple curiosity,I try to understand what
thinks a celebrity about the moment that decides to take a stand as this.Only curiosity ...

let me yet again remind everyone that the topic here is whether or not celebrity ufo sightings help or hurt ufology.
that is celebrity ufo sightings, not Robbie Williams' sighting and it also doesn't include Robbie's performance in 98 at some concert or what he
was wearing when he was photographed with his mates at some soccer match or anything directly related to Robbie.
This thread, again, is not about Robbie Williams (no offense). He has found a place where, for the most part, he can talk to other, like minded
individuals, about something he finds interesting. If you continue to bring up aspects of his "celebrity" that are totally unrelated to the topics
we discuss here, odds are, he'll stop posting.

thanks oragne-light for posting re hendrix. i'm not I.T savy at all!
Jimi was a master in music so yet again like Lennon, i'm not suprised he was intrested (or thought he was from mars) in the unknown. I cant recall it
ever being mentioned though or maybe i just wasent listening.
I think that Jimi having such a huge celeb following back in the day, would have been a huge influence on his fans. His music def would take you to
places unexplained. (with or witout drugs!)
in the 60's-70's,aside from Area 51 becomming huge ect, i think people were more open to influences such as celebs because their minds where open
and some-what pure. today we have a million and one things which crowd own mind so its harder to keep up or keep intrest should i say.
crakeur, sorry mate for having to SNIP me. I'll keep my p's and q's at bay.

maybe if you got a creative mind you are much more open to stuff which is beyond the facts they teach us at school
and usually most celebs being actors, painters, musicians - got creative minds for sure
and jimi was very creative - that's for sure! - so it isn.t really astonishing that he was very open minded!
thanks darlin for that video
i was surprised that will smith claims having seen an UFO

i meant that people back in the hendrix/lennon days where more open minded (not the musicians).
i dont know if the comparison btw being creative and open minded goes hand in hand so much. i dont think i'm creative though are very open minded.
we have to remember to its not just 'celebs' who see ufos. many uncle bobs on their farms have also seen ufos so i dont think their is a connection
to being creative-open minded.
i was more going on the musical theory that these artists have drawn inspiration from the unkown, willingly or not, and created some amazing,
memorable music. you know music that takes your breath away and listen to over and over. mesmerising is the word.

sorry i misundetstood you
it is my opion that people who are creative some how have a greater acceptance of unusual stuff, stuff beyond standard routine beyond standard
normality!
and yeah people in the 50s and 60s have been more open minded than today!
theory (just mine! ) they have been better educated, more aware of their own thoughts and opinions and there hasn.t been such a great impact with tv
as it is today
i am a very creative person in many fields and i know that my brain is constantly absorbing a tremendous amount of impressions starting to combine
them immediantly
so yeah guys like hendrix and lennon must have had much more impressions than i can imagie, and they must have had connections to sanctums most people
of today cann.t and maybe don.t want ever connect to
but being a creative open mind you are used to get impressions beyond the usual stuff and therefore much more willingly accepting that there is more
than school teaches, and don.t get affraid to easily by such impressions like seeing an ufo
do you understand what i mean? feel a bit confused by myself
