I would also home school my children. This is crazy, its sounds for the most part that only people people below the poverty line would be affected but this has got to be unconstituitional. I am sick of the government trying to control our lives. It is time for a change in government and time for us to start doing something about it.

Mentally screening toddlers? LOL

I would love to see how that works:

Care Worker: "Now I am going to ask you, if an old lady is crossing the street and she trips and falls on the road and you see traffic coming towards her, what would you in that situation do?"

Baby: "GOO GOO GAH GAAAH!"

Care Worker: "Completely incoherent babbling is the standard response to all 48 questions. This child is beyond help. Place in government custody now."

So now the parents are to blame if their children are born mentally handicapped?

The whole reasoning behind this is utter garbage:
"You gave birth to a mentally challenged child, therefore your not fit to raise children so we'll do it for you."

Well, isn't that the whole idea behind Hiliary Clinton, "It takes a village..." speach? Parents can't do the job, so it's up to the government to take control of this aspect of life. They need to raise the kids in the image that they deem is proper.

Sort of like the Hitler Youth.

Ok no seriously, have you seen some of the trash in public schools?
This needs to happen crime would seriously be reduced.
A lot of peopel look at their kids as tax write offs these days and let them roam the streets all night etc....

I dont see this hurting one decent parent, and it would help them not have problems with other peoples kids. If youre back handing your kid against the wall everynight you need to lose your kid its that simple.

And Psychiatrists DO know how to raise your kid better then you.
Like my mom always said, you didnt come with an instruction manual I just did the best I could.

That's the exact thought process in which is allowing our rights to be eroded one by one. No there is no way this can pass (bet a Dem. introduced it) but the fact we elect people who think this way baffles me. Please no who you vote for and what they stand for. i bet 90% of the people who voted for whoever this is don't support it.

You think a government should have the right to take away a parent's children because they were born a certain way?
How can you rationally condone that?

This isn't Nazi Germany, not yet anyway.
The Nazis took mentally-handicapped people away and killed them. They told their families they'd be better off without them too.

No they don't.
They don't know your kids, they didn't raise them, they didn't grow up with them.

All they know is what they read from philosophers and psychologists in the past like Freud and Jung who admit that an unstable mind is always in the eye of the beholder.
They know jack all, that's why kids in Foster Care are permanently screwed up for life when they go back into normal society:
