Point bar Eh?

ive been wondering for awhile now....

under the member avatar- it has user points and then a colored bar. is there a correlation between point number/ bar length/bar color?

ive always been stumped by these little bars.

The more posts you make, the longer your bar gets.

When you make exceptionally good posts, you're rewarded with a points bonus in the form of an "Applause" from ATS staff. The more "Applause" you get, the redder your bar gets.

BTW, if you hold your mouse over the bar, your total number of points shows.

The irony, it used to be me giving you those applauds!

Is there an update to this anywhere? In the past someone had pasted all the different bar colors in order. Now I'm just confuse. Is it still related to Applauses? And why do some people have 2 bars now?

Any suggestion on where I can find an update would be appreciated.

Those are the explanations for the old red bar that can be 'broken'. The new post bar follows a somewhat different formula. djohnsto77 has discovered the formula for the first bar and explained it in this post and the ones that follow.

The formula for the second bar that some members have is still somewhat of a mystery (to me at least).
