Nobody is advocating that she buy a gun and go shoot up her school with it.. All that has been suggested is she learn a few survival skills, and if a parent or relative is willing to teach her, learn how to properly handle and shoot a firearm. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

A car is just as deadly in the wrong hands as a gun. would you begrudge her a license too?

I agree teenagers shouldn't obsess themselves with Sitx scenarios, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with being knowledgeable and prepared should the worst come to pass. Wouldn't you prefer your son,daughter, wife, etc. know how to defend themself in the event that you were killed or incapacitated? I know I would.

It's possible to have a life, and still be prepared for the worst. It not an obsession for me, it's more like a responsibility that I take very seriously. It ranks right up there with putting food on the table, providing a roof over their heads, and clothes on their backs.

A pacifist attitude regarding survival will only get you killed.

Whether shes a black girl or a white man, its still a bit worrying that people are encouraging her to buy a gun, thats the point i'm making. 16 year olds should be out having a laugh with mates, not buying guns, worying when sitx will happen.

So what exactly do you want from this thread, just where to buy a good gun? Your thread title mentions Survival help but in all your posts it justsounds like you want to buy a gun or carry a big knife.

Any extra informaton is all I need i've been preparing for a while but need some KNOWledge if anybody can give me that in these post please do. When your underaged your kind of at a lose when if comes to personal protection.

I didn't mean that i think she'd go and shoot up a school, and i agree that you should learn survival skills at a young age, to be honest, introducing something in schools like outdoor training would be good. i'm only 19, 3 years older than the OP so its not as if i'm some old man getting on kids backs but it shows how mad the world is becoming when 16 year olds are saying "holy crap the worlds going to end! i better buy a gun!"

The World is going crazy, and I fear it's going to get much worse before it get better.

I always thought the boy scouts and the girl scouts were great organizations for learning outdoor skills, citizenship, and self-reliance, but not many kids seem interested today.
