anyone ever hear of anything like this

So I got the book "Ufos and Science" in the mail today. I was talking to my mom about it and she told an interesting story. Apparently one night her and her husband fell asleep in the living room, and woke up facing each other(standing). The room was filled with a bluish purple light. She started screaming and ran and turned the light on. Nothing else came of it. I actually remember her telling me this, at the time I thought nothing of it. I was wondering if anyone else has ever heard of this sort of thing.

No, can't say I have heard that before .. but I have a problem with what you are saying.

First you say your mom told you this after you received the book.

you then refer to your father as her husband.. instead of your dad ( since you say your mom)

Then you remember her telling you this,, but in the second sentence you said she had just told you about it.

The father thing could be because English is not your first language.. the rest has me vexed.

His mother and HER husband doesnt necessarily mean it needs to be HIS father. She could of married again. Step father maybe but not everyone goes by the same thing.

I'll elaborate a little. I used to live with my mom, now I live with my dad. My mom remarried. The incident happened around 6 or 7 years ago( at the time I still lived with her). She told me about it when it happened, I guess I just forgot. I tried to google search similar stuff but I couldn't find anything.
She believes it was a failed attempt at an abduction. Keep in mind my mom little to no interest in aliens. I think its worth looking into.

i would guess it was a successful abduction. if they were sleeping and woke up standing facing each other, i would think they woke up after ET was done with them. i think ET knows when you're sleeping.. it would be easy to tell simply by listening to the brain waves, like tuning in to a radio station. (not much more advanced technology then is available already in the mainstream) then i think after they enter the room, they zap you with a laser gadget which keeps you sleeping while they float your body through the wall and onto the craft. when you're returned you only remember what they allow you to retain of the experience. usually they allow you to remember nothing even if it was a good experience.
