Just one slight problem...he isn't even ON the Senate's Banking Committee, let alone in a leadership role there.

Don't you know though, that Obama owns you and the entire government? You work for him now. He won't let you be lazy either. You will work hard to put food on the table and be subserviant to his welfare programs, which you should thank him for.

The worst part of it is not just the fact that he said it, he went out of his way to emphasize that it was his committee. As such, its not something that can be written off as just a dumb mistake attributable to fatigue. He meant it.
