Nevada GOP Gets Sued by Paul Supporters

Topic started on 23-7-2008 @ 11:21 AM by lunchmanstan

First the Nevada GOP illegally recessed the convention to stop Paul from winning the State and getting the majority of delegates.
Then they refused to recognize the delegates chosen by the majority at the alternative convention.
Now they canceled the July 26 convention because they say there are not enough credentialed delegates and RSVP's for a quorum.
This was a calculated move to keep Ron Paul from winning a state early in the primaries and keep him out of the lime light.
Iam glad the Paul supporters are suing the GOP. Maybe the courts will teach the GOP a lesson for trying to keep us down.

When will this Ron Paul stuff end?

Listen, the guy lost. Sure he had a lot of support online, but that's it.

Let's move on already.

That's not true at all. A lot of people I know and don't know wanted Ron Paul in. You still drive around my city and see Ron Paul signs up.

What the GOP did to him in Nevada is one of the reasons Paul didnt garner the main stream support he should have recieved. The first Nevada Republican Convention was April 26 had they allowed Paul to take the state he would have madde headlines and gained even more support.

Also I would like to add that the Ron Paul thing isnt going to go away.
He has started a movement that will continue long after this petty election is over. Besides he just suspended his campaign is not over.

Iam guessing he will fill the Minneapolis Target Center's 15000 seats for the Rally for the Republic Sept. 2nd. Tickets go on sale July 25 for a very patriotic 17.76 each

Doesn't matter. It's not about trying to get him to win or anything, it's about exposing what may be manipulation of a primary. Justice is justice, whether it's Paul or McCain or some guy down the block from you.
