What about the loads of middle class just straight up losing their job and needing to take some crappier job?

Infaltion sky rocketing and pay not going up. It might be slowly effecting some.....

Luckily i dont have kids and know how to live off very little if i have to. Im so glad im a genius and realized a long time ago that having kids is a stupid idea.

Honestly , it is a bit funny to watch families who just only cared about their little close knit family life and not about the big picture and species family. THinking nothing could ever go wrong.....oh, but i just want kids , theyre so cute and fun to pretend they are mine. lol

No, this whole premis is nothing but bull s**t.

The government was ELECTED by the people of this country. The "middle class" is NOT heavily taxed at all, in fact compared to most of the world, their taxes are laughably low.

And only pusillanimous cowards write the kind of drivel that this thread is all about.

Hey I appreciate your rhetoric, but your missing something.

Each and every thing we buy or use is taxed in layers.

Our Income tax is lower than most nations, but the prices of
goods and services get taxed, licensed, and hit with fees every
step of the way.

So what you get is a vicious cycle of inflation due to tax burden,
labor burden, fuel burden, inventory taxes, etc etc.

Most of the list is here:

www.thepowerhour.com...

There are more, but I won't be bothered with digging them
all up. That list is sufficient to make the point.

With these layers of taxation you get billion dollar corps
setting up 700 shell corps in the Caymans to hide their sins
like Enron did.

You get ppl abusing the Visa program and creating new
visas like the L1 visa that have ...NO LIMIT...yes that is right.

NO LIMIT.

Here is a "partial" list of the Visas

Your tax dollars go to pay for these ppl to come here and work
any and every kind of job under the sun.

Most is legit, some is total BS.

We pay farmers to not farm their land for several consecutive years.

Instead of idling part of the land, the whole thing is idle.

We pay corporate welfare to oil companies when they are
making "record profits".

It is total BS.

We fund bridges to no where, we fund all kinds of pork projects
that we do not need.

Just with Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, SSI, medicare,
and average sales tax you are sitting at over 50% for the average earner.

When you add in property tax, ad valorum tax, luxury tax,
and licenses and fees it is pushes on past 60%.

When you consider the layers of taxes from raw material
til it becomes a product for the end user the tax passed on
in the price puts total effictive tax well past 70%.

So sell that BS somewhere, the lie is a lie, and anyone that has
taken economics or accounting knows it.

Coburn vows to thwart Reid on $11 billion in pet projects

www.washingtontimes.com...

Bread and circuses is exactly correct.

In the rural/agricultural/tourist area I live in FL, we are losing small businesses at the rate of 14/mo fo the last 3 months in one county. Some of these are national corps that are being forced to eliminate lower producing locations.

Shoot in here amongst us - some of us must have relief.

You will ask for relief like many others, but you may get
something like this:

www.breitbart.com...

The Russians are going to start staging Blackjack and Bear Bombers out of Cuba.

The severity of this issue is not easily seen.

The reason is the planes are just a delivery truck for what they carry.

That still does not speak to the real issue.

People hear bomber and think it has to fly over the land it is going to bomb.

The problem is these planes "ONLY" carry cruise missiles now with a
a range possibly as far as 5,000 kilometers, or about 3,500 miles.

They could be flying around south of Cuba, launch and still hit anywhere
in the US except the most northern states.

Also most people think, ahhh its a cruise missile and we can shoot it down.

The problem with that is during the war with Serbia they shot down an F-117
stealth fighter and reverse engineered the technology.

It is now part of their advanced cruise missiles that carry 200 Kilo-ton nukes.

So you have a Stealth Cruise Missile on a delivery truck somewhere near cuba,
and the Russians are upset about our missile shield, and are willing to
replay the Cuban Missile Crisis scenario to make their point.

The baseline for the cruise missile is the KH-55 from the 1980's.

en.wikipedia.org...

It has been upgrade since then, but we do not fully know for sure its abilities.

That upgraded critter is now officially known as the KH-102

www.globalsecurity.org...

The fact that is has Stealth abilities is now PUBLIC knowledge
in the above article, in paragraph # 5.

Hints at a newer and even better Stealth Cruise Missile the KH-555
are mentioned as well.

So when people laugh about the old planes, think of them as an old
truck delivering a high tech package.

This may be a second Cuban Missile crisis,
but the person in the Whitehouse is not JFK.

Like the 60's nothing may happen, or some religious ppl may
think it is time for revelations to take place.

Some articles showing the Russians level of anger can be found here:

I don't know where you are but maybe you should move to Texas.
It's really booming here. So much so that I'm beginning to believe this recession stuff is nothing but hype. I mean, sure we are in a housing slump but how do explain the following?
There are people lined up to enter BestBuy stores before they even open.
On weekends all the restaurants are so full you can't find parking and there's always a wait time.
Over priced Radio Shack is getting out of their slump and gas just started gettting cheaper.

This will continue until early next just in time for Obama to get credit so why are you complaining?

Why are we witnessing the biggest blockbuster movie of all time if things are really that bad?

Taxes on purchases are not exclusive to US. Here, in europe, it's called VAT - value added tax. In Ireland it is around 20%. AND the income tax is 41% for incomes over 44K and 20% for less than 44K.

External link:
www.irishlinks.co.uk...

Yet despite these taxes, we still survive. What's more, we're living good.

Dancing with the Stars !
Not as entertaining as NASCAR CHARIOT RACE AND UFC Gladiator Sports !

Just bag on on American Idol, but leave my male soap opera on ESPN alone. Forget Pat Tilman's mom on CSPAN, what is the latest with A-rod and Madonna, put that on CSPAN along with the roid hearings ?

Forget the flag draped caskets, the real American heros are presenters on the ESPY Awards !

When was last time you wanted an Autograph photo from a wounded soldier ?

Two and a half BILLION a DAY in Iraq? you sure that number is correct? The entire amount on the Iraq war was only 600 billion, and that was since it started.

i know this wont go down well but,

i read all these posts about how tough's everyones doing it and how they never complain and they earned what they have now; and i think thats great. that hard work is a good value and that if you worked hard you do deserve it.

but i cant help thinking its obscuring the real issue. we don't HAVE to live like this. It doesn't HAVE to be this tough. for the people in zimbabwe or the people struggling in america and working their butts off. there are enough resources in the world to go around and to feed everyone. there is enough land. (although we do need to regulate and limit our population growth). No one on earth NEEDS to be or SHOULD be poor or hungry or overworked or struggling. Everyone has been enslaved to money and doesnt realize it.

the problem with this planet is the governing structures it has. and the leaders. you look around and say, there will always be injustice; there will always be someone richer than me and someone poorer than me. I have no pity on the poor because i was poor and i overcame it and look what i have now. i deserve it. But do children deserve to be starving to death in africa? do children deserve to grow up in slums in india or to not have enough money for food or clothes in america?

the real problem with everyone on this planet; and the real thing that no one takes responsibilty for, is our leaders. and our government. We could all have a government and set of leaders who did the right thing; who distributed the countries' resources fairly and gave everyone a piece of land on which to grow food (and everyone should have to grow at least a vegetable garden and some of their own food to be self sufficient); and if some people were doing jobs where they had no time for anyone in the family to garden etc, the the state provides food.... why do we allow some people to be billionaires while others starve? just because we think they are smarter than everyone else? Bill gates may be smarter, but he's not worth billions of dollars when children are starving. Hes not worth more than someone's mother on a pension. Even though he gives away a lot, he still has a lot; and so do all the other billionaires on the planet.

This money should be spread around more fairly. Because none of us should be able to sleep if ONE child on this planet is starving to death while the rest of us try to lose weight. It is OUR responsibilty to fix this. and DEMAND that wealth is distributed properly. To LIMIT how much goods and property one person can accumulate and to apply these limits also to our LEADERS.

we're all one really. this economic crisis just proves it. if a few people have all the money, EVERYONE will suffer. And it wont matter how hard you worked during your life or how much money you saved, when some bigger fish comes to take it away. And maybe they worked hard too. Who cares? I don't. Because everyone- every single child- deserves the basic necessities of life. and no one should be able to accumulate goods and property at the expense of another human being's or child's need for basic necessities.

If we dont put caps on what the rich can have, and spread things around more fairly, then our greed will destroy us all - including the rich (who as that guy said, are fed by the farmers). And if we destroy our environment through our greed for more resources than we need, then we'll all fall together too..

in my opinion, anyway.
