Red Beast=USA? I think that Russia would make more sense...but I don't see them having a female leader any time soon.

yeah, that's what i thought of as well. and i agree... i think that neither the us nor russia will have a woman leader anytime soon.

maybe china could be red, but again, i cant see a woman in charge soon

Maybe its meant that when there's the first woman pope, the world will end. Or maybe Revelations is all proverb and shouldn't be read even as a metaphor. Who knows.

Why would you interpret America as the red beast? I see no connection.

In communism religion was officially prosecuted, everyone had to embrace atheism.
America had depression in 30's, not collapse and world hardly ever bankrupted, fall of communism and their crappy economy only increases world output.

this is sexist BULL#. the worst sexist crap I have read in a long time. everyone fears a female president because they know she wouldn't be so tolerant of the good ol' boys club that exists in our crappy government.

that quote can also be more appropriately translated into the beast having sex with a woman. which has probably happened many times over already, though I have no idea on this one. one thing the bible does not come out and say very often is "have sex", so they use beat-around-the-bush phrases like "sit upon" and "came unto" and etc.

lead it to a woman to become the destruction of the world. j/k AlnilamOmega is right, about the bible never using the word sex and beat around the bush, but it just comes to show, women take equal blame to the destruction of the world.

You could be right, but you could be wrong. I don't know for sure. That is a tough one to call. However, it is very possible that's what it means.
