Rush x7
Pink Floyd x2
Eric Clapton
William Topley
Aerosmith
ZZ Top
ELO (oh, the shame)
Widespread Panic (at the base of Keystone Ski Resort!)
Blue Oyster Cult
Three Dog Night

Like our illustrious Banshee, I really don't like crowds either. It would take another Pink Floyd tour to get me to a concert at this point.

Let me see if i can remember all of them. It's been awhile.

Metallica
Pantera x2
Tool
Danzig
Marilyn Manson
Sepeltura
Biohazard
Solitude Aeturnus
King Diamond
White Zombie
Testament
GWAR
Type O Negative
Korn
And I think I may have seen Sacred Reich opening for Pantera around 92-93, but I may have gotten the name of the opening band wrong.

There may be a few more, but this is what i remember so far. Oh, and a Blues Fest in Rockland ME, a few years back.

Try not to be jealous, saw Queen in '78.
Awesome show.
Jesus Christ Superstar, live, original Jesus-Neeley, another awesome show.
George Thoroughgood, he can rock.
Bunch of Canadian bands, Triumph, Stampeeders, Trooper.

I will never forgive my parents for not allowing me to go to Vancouver in '77 to see Ted Nugent. Openning for him were AC/DC and Cheap Trick.

Last night: MC5.

Yes, "THE" MC5.

Mark Arm is a better vocalist than Evan Dando but Dando is a better entertainer. Deniz Tek from Radio Birdman and Dion from D4 and three local young bucks in the brass section fleshed out the 10.

I will post a picture one day of Dando serenading me from two inches away. I am glad he decided to do that with Starship "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. There is a place unimagined by man where the sun shines eternally" etc etc etc rather than the Morrison-esque "I Want You".

Earplugs remembered. A fine time had by all.

Any thoughts, goregrinder?

Not an avid concert goer but the highlights include:

Einsturzende Neubauten
Laibach
Misfits (Mike Hydeous 98 Hultsfred - damn intense though)
Nofx

Rancid (too drunk to remember Im sorry to admit)
DIO
Manowar
Motorhead
Iron Maiden (Blaze
)
Helloween

I lost faith in going to big festivals when Fields of the Nephilim cancelled out on Sweden in 2000, THAT was depressing!!!

I didn't go to my first REAL concert until I was about 18, so I sort of missed out on a few chances...believe it or not though, most of these actually came to Tallahassee - the acoustics in our civic center is horrible tho. I think these are in the right order:

Arturo Sandoval
Incubus
Tool
Cher
Snoop-Dogg
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Eagles
Elton John
Cheap Trick
Aerosmith

And the cool thing about living in Tallahassee is that you get to see a lot of big bands downtown at Flyod's before they hit it big - I saw Creed and Social Burn before they had even dreamed of signing.

I went to an eric clapton concert this summer that was amazing...the guy still plays great, and he is a legend. Other than that, can't say I've been to many memorable concerts...I really like classic rock, but was born a bit to late to experience that era for myself, haha.

It was MIND-SHATTERING to say the least, I must note that Im not a diehard Einsturzende fan, so I cant answer the question. Though the highlights of the concert was IMO the first song "Silence is Sexy" - wonderful with Blixa smoking a cig in the hazy swedish summer night, and also the pulsing, catastophic sounds of a song called "Redukt".

Wish Id get to see COIL one day.
Maybe would top this concert in "controlled noise".
