Obama wants to be President for 10 years.

Listen to Obama's recent interview with Lara Logan. He seems to indicate that he plans on being in charge of the U.S. for the next 8 to 10 years. Is this another one of his "visiting 57 states" slip-ups? I think we have to hope so. Surely he knows he's running for the office of President and not dictator. Or maybe he believes his wife will be the next President after him. It's amusing either way.

Why not? he also wants to be president of all 57 states.

This guy has done more to expand US government while campaigning than the last three administrations combined.

I guess that will give him time to visit all 57 states.

Well, at least to anyone with any intelligence of their own. I can't believe the other half of the country hasn't figured this out yet. With all the media exposure Obama gets, you'd think people would notice his frequent gaffes and utter inability to form a coherent thought on his own. He's like a liberal version of Bush.

Obama said, "The objective of this trip was to have substantive discussions with people like President Karzai, Prime Minister Maliki, President Sarkozy and others, who I expect to be dealing with over the next 8-10 years"

And as evanmontegarde pointed out, he is dealing with these men NOW, and if he were president for 2 terms, he would be stepping down 10 years from now.

How could he make such an idiotic statement? 8-10 years? What planet is this guy on. It is only for 8 years, unless he trys changing that too. Does he plan on changing the Constitution for that too?

You are such a Joker jetxnet. He is clearly speaking of the current year as well. Plus he has to look forward to the relationships and legacies he leaves behind for the next President who will have to have those same relationships.

He will have a lot of work to do just patching up many of the relationships with our Allies.

You Obama supporters are terrible at paying attention to detail, I have to say. The numbered year list is rediculous and doesn't add up to 10 years by trying to say that 2008 and 2017 count.

It's like when you supporters of Obama were trying to somehow come up with 57 states to support that slip of the tounge.
