How can a man this "smart" keep getting his history wrong?
His uncle liberated the Jews in Auschwitz?
He has visited all 57 States?
But now he has stated that a single bomb destroyed Pearl Harbor?
transcripts.cnn.com...
Throughout our history, America's confronted constantly evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness of the frontier,
from the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor
Obama has repeatedly made gaffe after gaffe. It is only the media's love for him that he is not ridiculed unmercifully and laughed out of the
race.
Anyone remember Dan Quayle?

What makes this worse is that Obama was born in Hawaii.

Obama is much too cosmopolitan to concern himself with the actual number of states in our
country, the number of bombs that were actually dropped on Pearl Harbor, or which concentration camps were liberated my American forces at the
conclusion of WWII. These things are old news, and have little relevance to the World today.
Barack Obama is more concerned that we can't all speak Spanish or French like our European counterparts.

A few points:
1) Does it really matter that he used singular form over plural? That is the simplest of mistakes that could happen to anyone, to little effect I
might add. It proves nothing.
2) Yes, it seems fairly obvious that he is elite. This and his complete lack of decent policy is more important than thread after thread of
"gaffes".
3) I really don't think it would matter if the media hated him (which isn't likely to happen). The American people are far from intelligent
(mentally lazy so to speak) so I really don't think what he says and his lack of content matter at all.
The exercise is useless.

Come on now, do you REALLY think Obama thinks 1 bomb fell on Pearl Harbor?
He was reading a speech, I bet it was a typo and he just read what was in front of him.

“Don’t tell me words don’t matter, I have a dream. Just words? We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal. Just
words? We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Just words? Just speeches?” Barack Obama
How come the media gave him a pass? Not one question about what kind of single bomb could do that much destruction. No question on if he confused
Pearl Harbor with Nagasaki or Hiroshima, nothing...just a flat out pass.

It's because they've had 8 years of Bush talking gibberish.
After that, they are quite happy to misunderestimate Obama.

Once again this appears to be just another desperate attempt to make Obama look bad.
Have any of you herd the expression or any of its variations that go something like "It looks like a bomb went off in here"?
To me when he said:
"Throughout our history, America's confronted constantly evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness of the frontier,
from the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor"
Obama is speaking 'figuratively' or 'symbolically' meaning he is not saying 'exactly' what happened but is using symbolism to make the point.
Things like this are done for the purpose of making a speech sound better or to meet any other format needs. The same type of thing is done with the
written word as well.
Basically the OP is digging for something, anything, he/she can use to make Obama look bad.

Well someone has to. The media refuses to report on any story that would upset the Messianic Lord Obama.
They have no problems pointing out misspeaks by conservatives, but ignore Obama's gaffes. The typical media response for Obama would be something
like this..."AHHH how cute, he is working soooo hard, and is sooo tired from his campaign, that he innocently misspoke, no big deal....nothing to see
here."

I think he was using a figure of speech, listing threats to liberty, using a bomb (a single bomb of the many) as an example. Threads being intangible
vs tangible.

I just hope that for the sake of Latin America he doesn`t win. I`m not talking about hispanics in the U.S., I`m talking about America`s back yard,
Obama does not see latin america as a priority, in fact he has gone as far as to say he would meet with Castro and Chavez. If agreeing to meet with
known terrorists and criminals like Castro and Chavez isn`t enough, he wants to turn his back on the only ally the U.S. has in South America, he is
against the FTA with Colombia.
Where does he think that the U.S. Foreign Policy must focus?.
Africa??.

I really got a kick out of that!

Obama's "gaffes", from what I have seen have happened when he was reading speeches, at least all the ones that I know of!
His "gaffes" are probably nothing more than typos that he's reading out loud, and these are minuscule.
It's not like he's singing "Bomb Iran", or saying cigarettes are a "good way to kill Iranians".
Ever hear of Freudian Slips?

Excellent post and a great reminder that our southern neighbors are not being considered in the scheme of things. Obama needs to know and recognise
they are ever so important to the security of the Americas both North and South. If we continue to ignore the real dangers of these crooks running our
southern neighbors we will end up with a two front war and no way to handle either. The Chinese have started causing trouble in Africa, how long do
think it will be before Chavez and Roaul Castro whos already playing footsies with them to worm they're way into the workings of South America??
Overtures towards many governments there are already in the works! We are stupidly ignoring it and Obama doesn't sem to notice!

My fave is the 57 states comment, followed closely by his I see dead people comment.

Come on now, do you REALLY think Obama thinks 1 bomb fell on Pearl Harbor?
Do you really think Obama thinks there are 57 states?
Do you really think Obama thinks there is a 10 year term for POTUS?
Do you realy think Obama thinks inflating your tires will solve the Peak Oil foreign Oil dependency problem?
I think Obama hasn't been reading his American History, or learning much about things really affecting America. His head has been somewhere else all
these years.
It's the only explanation for such stupidity considering he at least has an average IQ.
