UK Prime Minister's aide led into honeytrap by Chinese agents; Blackberry stolen
www.timesonline.co.uk
A top aide to Gordon Brown has been a suspected victim of a “honeytrap” operation by Chinese intelligence agents.
The aide, a senior Downing Street adviser who was with the prime minister on a trip to China earlier this year, had his BlackBerry phone stolen after
being picked up by a Chinese woman who had approached him in a Shanghai hotel disco.
The aide agreed to return to his hotel with the woman. He reported the BlackBerry missing the next morning. (visit the link for the full news

If this is true, it is both alarming and, at another level, completely ridiculous. It's now very possible that the Chinese have a line directly into
Number Ten because of a rather foolish aide to the Prime Minister.
The incident apparently occurred back in January, when Gordon Brown was on an official visit to China.

Small point, but could be relevant.I read on Guido recently that Broon had recently accidentally emailed Wendy Deng,Rupert Murdoch's Chinese
wife-connection?She could have just been a theif but from a security point of view it's obviously bad new and this happened way back in January.I've
heard that there are Chinese sticky fingers in Darfur(oil) and Zimbabwe. The plot thickens but what's the recipie?
