Yes, and i`ll bet you will find that they do take the oil, am I right? Take the oil and bitch about it while they use it. Shows the mentality of some people doesn`t it? And if they don`t take it, oh well, let`s believe our government and freeze to death because they want us to hate Chavez. I just hope there are no young ones living in those households.

that happens a little bit but the majority of them are people just wanting to complain about the whole program meanwhile tying up our lines and reps making it hard for the ones who are trying to apply. we had some emergency cases last year where their family is litterly freezing and need all the help they can get but had so many others calling in just to say chavez and the kennedy's should be shot

Well, like I said, it goes to show you the mentality of some people out there. Next time, tell those people to call their government officials and whine to them about it, their the ones who keep our country broke to the point that we have to ask for handouts from other countries. Just ranting, sorry.

I don't trust it, there's got to be some ulterior motive behind him offering free fuel to Americans. However i can't blame the people for wanting to accept it. No one wants to think about facing a winter without heat, and God knows we aren't getting any help from our goverment. Hey why should they care if the citizens of America can't afford to heat their homes in the winter, feed their famalies, or fill their tank up so they can make it to work it's more important to them to waste billions of our tax dollars on keeping our men & women in some god forsaken country fighting a fight that has nothing to do with us, while we slowly drown.

What i want to know though is, are all the citizens of the state actually going to recieve this fuel for free, or is the state going to impose some kind of charge on it ?

What really pisses me off is the fact that we send billions of dollars in aide to other countries, while our own people have to choose between feeding their family, or gassing up the car to get to work

And excuse me but we are now in a position where we are taking handouts from another country, but we are still giving aide to other countries, and we have a candidate running for potus that says he wants to give away more, i'm sorry but there is something severely wrong with this picture

And of course there isn't more media coverage on this, the goverment doesn't want the average American citizen to be aware of the fact that it's gotten so bad that we are taking this free fuel.

I think he's trying to create a bit of instability and frustration toward the US government. His giving oil for free, may make many wonder why the US itself can't/won't do this for its own people.

Wow I have no idea whats going on here.

Is Chavez trying to help or he is he trying to gain support... and if he is... what for!!!

I have to admit this one puzzles me, and I heard about this before when he did offer, they refused... this is weird.

You live in a world where everything is suspicious.
It's a good thing that he wants to give you oil for free, that does not mean to trust him. I would look at it as a nice act from a neighbor, all countries should make such gifts , that does not mean to trust them

Yes, I agree about taking it as a gift, buy yet guard yourself if, and I say if there may be a negative act on his part. And I have to say I`m sorry if I have posted any negativity myself. It`s easy to be drawn in to this act. If you spread negative things, it comes back to you in the end. But one must still be on guard, for to have someone forcibly try to take away your free will, as our government is doing, only means it will come back on them in the end. I guess what I`m saying is, try and keep a positive attitude about the future of our world, and those around us. We are growing at this very moment, and how we act and react to what is going on around us will tell the tail of our fate in the end on a spiritual level. That is why we are going through all of this, it is our last test before the change.

I consider NH accepting oil from Chavez to be in the same category as Ron Paul accepting donations from white supremacists. Better that the needy have the oil than the dictator.

There is absolutely no difference in the two situations, imo.

It also blows my mind that they would accept this offer, but with oil at an all time low its no wonder why...

the question IS why would Chavez even offer this in the first place!

FYI, this is not a first. In Massachusetts, Joe Kennedy Jr. has created Citizens Oil Corporation which supplies oil to Mass. residents free or at low cost.

Guess where Joe gets the oil from? Hugo Chavez. This has been going on since 1979.

Joe Kennedy, Hugo Chavez and That Free Heating Oil

I believe Chavez also supplies free oil to residents of Harlem.

For those who want to know why Chavez would do this? It is simple: propaganda. He uses it to turn the screws on Bush, and to buy acceptance for his dictatorship from the American public.

yes we have oil here in lower 48 and off the coast and in alaska why do we need chaves's oil for that matter why do we export out oil from alaska to other countries and let chinese build oil platforms off our coast. the only answer i can think of is corporate greed. we should do like chavez and take our oil back from corporate goons make them sell it here instead of in asia. i mean come on alaska makes loads of oil but gas there is over 4 dollars a gallon. we should thank chavez but we also need to do action our selves

I have to say there is alot of funny and some serious answers of why he does it.

My thoughts are he is firstly doing it because his country is in a position where they can hand out oil instead of killing and destroying foreign countries for it as US Gov. is doing at the moment.

Secondly its good PR for HC and his country.
Thirdly its showing that the "Communistic" ideology is the way to go in our future heading..

US Gov. is fighting wars in 2 countries, with the money spend in those wars to "secure" US for against people who "want" to attack US, the Gov. could help mostly all US citizens in economical trouble.

Best regards

Loke.

ok, so what if this is a propaganda move by Chavez? He is giving us oil in order to gain acceptance from the people and discredit our government? What exactly could WE do about it? I don't buy it, I tell you, because the powerlessness of the american people is pretty obvious to many outside of the country. If this is a PR move, it's to demonstrate to other countries that he is not as bad as the US makes him out to be. Formanator has made some good points about what Chavez has done for his own people. The proof is in the pudding; why is everyone still rejecting it based on the label? Most of us on here have at least minor trust issues with what the US government is telling us, so why are we judging Chavez on the US government's word?

Chavez is already at odds with our government, so it is no skin off his back to try to balance out the artificial shortage created by the powers that be. Many of us are in agreement with what Chavez said about our president, and we should be grateful that at least one international leader is willing to state the situation out loud. His actions demonstrate that he sees we the citizens are being victimized by our government, and that the rest of the world could do something about it if they wanted to.

I wonder if this free oil might be confiscarted via our lovely hard working government at work

Despite politics, ide take the oil. I know a little abou oil. for those interested, www.bobistheoilguy.com u cna learn all kinds of cool info

Did my digigng and research..as far as Citgo motor oil goes...not many think highly of it, and it was a weak additive pack..that means, it carbons and sludges up faster in an engine. So, for home heating oil? My advice for the New Hamphire's, is to buy some Kleenite diesel addtiive, and add it too your furnace tank. It will help the oil in tank form gelling up, an keep the burnier in furnace cleaner, = efficiancy.

Do the research yourself. It's been debated and proven here many times. He shut down the main TV station because it criticized him. He nationalized the oilcos. He rigged the elections, as shown by observers worldwide.

And, most telling, he has decreed himself "dictator for life".

Google is your friend.

Hugo Chaves and his oil has nothing to do with the disgust I feel for Bush, Cheney, and the rest of the neocon terrorists that are bringing my beloved America to her knees.

Chavez is painted in a bad light by the US govt and the media only. That speaks volumes. I know I'd support Chavez before I'd support Bush.
