Google has added a new feature... I have already seen a few threads on this..

But I am curious why no one is concerned?

In this thread here...
Unbelievable event just happened to me
www.abovetopsecret.com...

The OP spotted someone outside his house taking photos of his house... and he expresses his concern... and other posters have all kinds of theories on why...

Yet go to any city that the GOOGLE SQUAD has already hit and you will see that they have photographed EVERYONE'S House...

It's THE GOOGLE SQUAD

Google has been all over cities taking photos of your house... I don't know what cities they have covered so far, but type this into Google maps

Sunset and Pecos Las Vegas

Pick street view...

And swing around to the big wall south west corner... the horses and sign that says "Shenandoah"

That's Wayne Newton's house... You can move the man down the street

Most of Vegas has been covered

Actually this should piss you all off. Its bad enough every SPOOK knows where you live but now anyone that has your address can get a photo of your house...

How did this get passed?

And more important WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

And here in Vegas you can go to the Clark County Assessors office... use their satellite mapper which is better resolution than Google free version and get the full parcel data; like who owned the property, what you paid for it; if you paid your taxes and how much...

This is to prove to you that haven't been hit yet in your area.. and show you what it looks like... This is John Lear's house I removed the address naturally but this is the Brave New World Privacy is out the window...

You will see yellow and blue lines on the map Any area that has those lines has been covered by the Google cameras...

I say we get out the baseball bats and get those guys with the camera

Does this not bother anyone?

They can also track your whereabouts via your cell phone...

Google To Launch Large Scale Geo-Services
www.techcrunch.com...

So just WHO is Google and WHO are they working for?

And why is no one concerned?

Seems the Pentagon is...

Washington -- In a briefing room deep in the Pentagon earlier this year, Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Walsh and Maj. Brad Ashley presented a series of briefings to top DoD leaders that raised more than just a few eyebrows.

Selected leaders were shown how it was possible to obtain their individual social security numbers, unlisted home phone numbers, and a host of other personal information about themselves and their families -- simply by cruising the Internet.

In less than five minutes on the Net Ashley, starting with only the general's name, was able to extract his complete address, unlisted phone number, and using a map search engine, build a map and driving directions to his house.

www.defenselink.mil...

And now they can get a picture of that generals house to boot..

Pentagon: The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy "weapons system".
www.globalresearch.ca...

So if the Pentagon is concerned

How come WE are NOT??

Too bad JL wasn't out there giving them a finger salute!

I found out about
ZabaSearch when my daughter was working as a bill collector. I guess bill collectors use it all the time. It even has a page devoted to it's search abilities on Snopes.

As for the Google Earth Street View search... I hear it is being tied into real estate companies for the properties they sell. Then they link it to inside pictures of your house used in the real estate listing also.

I suppose they can pull this stuff off in the big cities. Pull out your camera and start taking pics in the country, you might end up with some rock salt in your keaster... or as we like to say around here... don't worry about the dogs, worry about the owner.

Just looked at zabasearch... seems for the free service they really just link you to google searches... but I did just try it out and got an address for my space command contact

I hope I don't freak him out when I sent him a google earth picture of his house on the base with his age phone number and other detail on it

But its worse here is the state of Nevada.. If you signed ANYTHING in Nevada a copy is all available free here...

www.publicrecordfinder.com...

I am sure other states have it too...

Yeah, I came across this thing the other night and I thought man this is a bit scary. Right after I went to Fort Lauderdale to check out the chicks in bikinis..

Anyway, This should give people an idea of what has been covered in the US so far. I thought it was neat to see what Broadway looked like in NY. I mean this might be ok for tourist sites but it should be banned for residential areas. Just as I have declared over my crib a no fly zone, I guess now I have to make it a no picture zone as well.

Just for the sake of clarity. You're not serious are you? The pics taken for Google are most certainly not done in a proposed cloak and dagger fashion. Google gets city pics via a 3 foot tall shiney aluminum framed car roof-top mounted camera apperatus. The cars are clearly labeled with door insignia as being property and business of Google.

Good friggen grief, Google is a search entity, it's not invading your mind. Oh my gawd, someone's going to have a photo of my house - that should piss me off and/or scare me? Should I be worried about city maps as well? I mean, someone get get my address somehow (I guess from evil Google) and then know how to get to my house!! The governement already knows where you live and how to get there, ever call 911? The gov does NOT need a picture of your house in order to know from the address that it's your house.

I'm sorry, I'm really not trying to be belittling, but all this hoohah about Google invading privacy is just laughable - they're in it for the money ..... period!!

Talk about invading your property..
youtube.com...
Back on topic.. Does it really matter? They can take pictures of my house as long as they dont invade my property..

Interesting thread.

I like to add some information/example from the Netherlands.

Here we have this site:
FUNDA

It's a site for people looking for a house. There is an option, when you found a certain house, to look in the neighbourhood. There you can almost find every house or corner of a street. I think almost all cities are covered.

Like this example.

Also I have asked someone who shot this kind of pictures what he was doing. He was not from this site but from the local government. I guess they also use it for this purpose? (sold the info ?!? )

Well, I don't know more about it. Primarily I think these images are just usefull for sites like this or usefull for local governments to get an easy look in a neighbourhood for multi purpose.

greetings Lunica
