A Simple Question

If There is a one world government, why would they keep it a secret from the general populace? It doesn't make sense to me.

No one wants to give up sovereinty to any conglomeration of corporations and politicians.

Those who want a One World Government (NWO) know that most people would fight it if they just came out and said "this is what we are going to do". So instead, they start wars/terrorist attacks/financial crashes in such a manner that the people demand that something is done about it.

So those who want a NWO say "OK - give us your sovereignty and give up your liberties and we'll protect you from these problems (that they created in the first place).

This is known as Problem-Reaction-Solution. ( or the Hegelian Dialectic). That's how they work, and thats why they don't just come out with their plans for a NWO.

Hitler had his SA goons set fire to the Reichstag. At the time, the Nazi Party was in the minority in Parliament.
The Communist Party, which was the majority party, was framed for the arson, and Hitler launched a crusade against "communist terrorism".
Hitler then invoked his newly-received powers as Reichschancellor to ban the Communist Party...however, in the same edict, he also banned the Socialist and Liberal Parties.
The remaining National Conservative Party quickly endorsed Hitler, and an emergency vote was undertaken which granted Hitler dictatorial powers (only Hitler's Nazi and Conservative supporters in Parliament were allowed to vote; the opposition, by this time, was already in jail).
Now, I don't believe that Bush is responsible for 9/11 as Hitler was respnsible for the Reichstag terror. But, like Hitler, I believe this unelected president is attempting to capitalize on this act of terrorism for political gain.
Kerry isn't my first choice...I prefer Kucinich. But I'd vote for Chthulu himself before I would vote for junior.

That having been said, a single world government would be torn apart in this day of materialism and intolerance if suddenly revealed. Too many people in the world still identify fanatically with their religious or national heritage for them to readily accept that.

The coming of a singular world governmental body is a long way away. Whether their motives are just or not, they would not be able to openly hold power over all the warring factions of the world.
