i have this friend who always questions of my choices or combinations of food, has called me a "savage" (mostly because i'm not picky except when it comes to meat, which i only really eat if it's, um, rare... very, very rare...) and likes to make jokes. i don't take things personally and i guess i don't have the emotional capacity to really get offended, but it makes me wonder if my eating habits are really all that weird. i know they're not unhealthy because i don't get sick 'cept maybe once or twice a year and am in perfect physical condition (i work out and take vitamins too which helps) but, well, for example, breakfast today was:

two 16 oz sugarfree energy drinks
one of those little 6-hour energy shot things
small lamb chop, extremely rare
a bit of black lumpfish caviar
a few squares of dark chocolate
two packets of duck sauce left over from take-out a few nights ago, not on anything just straight from the packet (hey, condiments ARE food, i don't care what anybody says! lol)
and, a glass of skim milk.

i'm just looking for some other opinions on whether or not that's a bizarre combination?

p.s. at least i don't eat bananas that do THIS:

thank you! my point exactly. hooray for unique food combinations!

speaking of unique, and since i have duck sauce on the mind (not literally... i mean... hmm... i dunno what i mean, moving on), the other day i made this really awesome sandwhich with some turkey and duck sauce on lightly toasted white bread. mostly because we were outta mustard, i don't much care for mayo as a rule, and hey, it turned out a lot better than it probably sounds. i highly recommend giving it a try.

there are certain "foods" that go with almost anything.

duck sauce
plum sauce
mayo
cream cheese
bacon

I kid you not.

...even if you mixed 'em all together? hmm...

*plans to attempt this sometime...*

I'm all for caviar, but when I read your breakfast that children's song that goes something like "which one of these doesn't go with the other" started running through my head.

I think you have good taste, but you're just a little eccentric.

Peace

Doc, raw lamb chops for breakfast is eccentric, sucking duck sauce from the packets is borderline kooky.

Voltzen, don't take that the wrong way. Kooky is good and I can envision what it would be like taking a girl like you out for dinner in that most restaurants would be good but watching you order and eat would be rather entertaining.
