chat down???

not sure if its just a problem on my end, but is anyone else having a problem getting into the chat?

trying to figure this out.

At what point does it "not work"?

had problems earlier at the part where it says:
Connecting the Server ...

trying it again right now.

after trying, I see what looks to be a dialog box which says:

"Connection failed! Maybe your network can't access the server, or the server is under maintenance, please try again later!"

at this point I'm open to the possibility that the fault could be from my end (UAE net block), will try again tomorrow and see if I can connect to chat.

This has happened before.

Typically it only requires the server to be rebooted.

*Sigh*

It has been down for AGES.

I went to the city, came back and its still not working.

Its been down all day I guess. Trying to get on, on and off all day, and Nada. Cmoooooon I need my Chat fix for the week

Critical upgrades to security and core software on our auxiliary server has rendered the Java-based chat server inoperable. Since we need the upgrades, we've not rolled-back in order to support chat (sorry).

We're looking at some alternatives to restore chat in some form in the very near future... but for now, no chat.

You can also use this thread created by SkepticOverlord to report all bugs.

What about moving abck to a flash based chat, not java?.

We really mis having our chat.

Of course security and updated software is important, but please realize that chatr is considered a cery important part of ATS by many of us.
