Only 11,000-20,000$ to break the sound barrier.

Just thought this was cool as heck if ones dreams and money could make it happen.Around 12,000$ plus airfare to Russia and you could be breaking the sound barrier in a mig 29.

And if you join the Air Force you can potentially get PAID to do it. That's what I am going to do. Well,

I guess the only time I can afford to break the sound barrier is when I shoot my rifles...Man I would love to go up in a jet, any jet. When I was a kid my dad got us a bi-plane ride at the airshow, I've loved aircraft from that day on.

Whoa! That's a lot of aerobatics there!

Both my wife and myself have riden in F-16's (on different occassions) and if any of you guys are contemplating this I have a word of advice... Don't eat a meal for at least 6 hours prior to flying!

All I got was a split S and a 9g turn and I filled up a colonel's helmet with puke. Seriously one of the most embarassing moments of my life - except for that one time I couldn't get "it" up, but we won't go there.

Try volunteering at a Aircraft restoration.... thing-o. May not be a jet... and it may not be 9g... but... well....I did.
