I think the avatar people choose does reflect them in a way, because if the avatar did not appeal to them, they would either not use it, or not use one ata ll. So they do represent some aspect of the personality of the person, I would think.

And there are some here that really give strong impressions about the person.. I cant think of any names at the moment, but there are a few strongly evocative images around that you just get a feeling about the person.

Well, since I've been to Australia three times, I'm thinking bloodcircle's moght have something to do with Aborigine beliefs, since it's showing the Moon in a phase shift towards red with an eclipse.

I could always be wrong though.

You also described Henry Rollins when he was in Black Flag...lol...the avatar certainly does have an impact on what people perceive.

-2 siblings, one brother one sister...yet I get the feeling there might be 2 brothers
-you used to put hockey cards in the spokes of your bike as a kid
-played war games with friends in a forest close to home
-you like fishing but wish you could get out to do it more often
-if you are/were in the military you either followed in another families foot steps or you have another family member that was enlisted as well
-played sports in high school...football
-you own/drive a 4X4
-play either guitar or drums

You went to my profile, no fair!! Yep, only my puppy is three, and we go to the river more than the beaches. Gas prices is the only reason for that. But yes, on all counts!!
