Please forgive me if this has been declined before but I would like to suggest a slight modification to the Breaking New Thread title restriction.

Often we find breaking news with inflammatory or simply misleading titles. It isn't the OPs fault, it is the way the original article was entitled. Is it possible to add a subtitle, one in which the thread author can - if he or she chooses - place a short subtitle? This would allow you to alert readers that it's a joke title, or perhaps identify the source.

Just a suggestion.

Actually, it is good form and stipulated here that the exact title of the story be copy/pasted into our forum.

So, if you notice a misleading title, please alert...

This is addressed in the sumbission form (in the fine print).

Headline: Please use the original story headline from your source. If the headline is biased or otherwise inapporpriate, provide a descriptive headline that is accurate and reflects the article you're submitting. Submissions with inaccurate, biased or otherwise deceptive headlines may be removed.

If the article title is incredibly misleading, you are allowed to write one that better describes the submission.
