Cannot See Post By Anonymous

On my list of active threads it is showing last post by anonymous. So when I go to the thread the post is not there. Could any one tell my why it is that I cannot see post by anonymous?

It's because it either has not been screened yet by a moderator, or it has been screened and was not approved.

When they click reply it bumps the thread but the post stays in 'global ignore' (meaning only mods can see it) mode until it's been approved for the forum.

ahhh ok thanks a bunch. I did not know that. And it would explain why it is happening.

Another note:

I noticed that if the anon post is apporoved, it does place itself in the thread where it would have been were it instant.

It's the same as when you place a person on your ignore list. The post by that person is still there in the database, you just don't see it. When an Annonymous user posts, it goes on 'ignore mode' for everyone but the mods. One it has been screened and approved, then it is taken off ignore and everyone can now see it.

At least that is my understanding of how it is set up...
