It seems as if a porn site has made itself my homepage. I have deleted cookies, cleared history, ran virus scan and simply changed the homepage, but at every restrart, this same adult site is my homepage again.

Any ideas? Thanks!:bnghd:

You might have some sort of 'XXX' thing installed go to Add/Remove programs take a look in there you might see some porn thing remove it. Also does the page redirect to www.thehun.net ? if so go to that site (I know its a porn site) they have a fix for that because they didn't realise that thing that changes your homepage.

You may also want to check the registry also.

Run 'Regedit' from the run line.
CNTRL-F (find) and search for the Porn site that is your homepage now. Delete it or change it when you find it.

Normal Internet Explorer settings can be found in.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
...and...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Check to see if there is a file on your machine named 'HOSTS' with strange entries in it also. It will only be named HOSTS with NO Extention.

Download SpyBot S&D and let it chew thru the spyware on your computer.

It that doesn't work, U2U me the URL of the site and I'll do some more research on it.
Um, but please don't post it in this thread. No XXX links on ATS.

You could also try Adaware. I have that plus S&D and that virtually guarantees that all spyware is removed from the system.

There is also HijackThis. That helped me with my problem with a homepage hijacker (Not a Porn site, just a stupid site that never went away)...But try it....If there are any http links that are strange to you just delete them....

!!!but be sure not to delete any important files!!!
