Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price is sticking to his comments that the term "black hole," which a colleague used, is racist.Price also says language such as "angel food cake" and "devil's food cake" are also racially insensitive.

Why is this clown in charge of regulating anything?

More importantly, the fact he continually gets elected shows that there is something drastically wrong with our electoral system. Morons simply shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Update:

I just called this clowns office and asked if he had ever suffered brain damage. They said no.

I asked how is black hole a racist term, and the woman on the phone said "I guess you would have to be black to understand" and then hung up on me.

this kind of stuff really has gone too far. they don't own the word "black" and/or the concept of black just because they may be black.

hell, i guess i should start complaining that they named the most disastrous hurricane in america's recorded history the same name that is on my birth certificate........ katrina. how dare they!

i wish adults would grow the *snip* up and quit resorting to these childish tactics.

Black is the color of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum; they absorb all such frequencies of light.

according to the above definition, seems that "black hole" would be a very appropriate term.

As a member of a minority group myself, stories like these make my stomach turn. Why must people find issues where there are none? There are so many positive ways he could use his power to effect change for the better. Instead, he chooses to waste the time/resources he is supposed to be dedicating to the people he represents on something that could of been avoided by simply picking up a dictionary.

this guy is always saying crazy stuff. he makes the local news with this crap all the time. race baiting should be punishable somehow in government functions...but that is not going to happen.

he is elected by his constituents. and his views are supported by them. consider how scary THAT is.

I live in Dallas and Price has been griping about every little thing for years. Although he has been fairly quiet the last 2 years.

I wonder what he thinks about the state Idaho?

Definitely not a place where I would want to live. One would have to assume if he spends so much of his time complaining about nonsense like this, then he, in all likelyhood, has little time to........ oh, say, do his job.
