Climate change delusion a real problem

www.news.com.au

PSYCHIATRISTS have detected the first case of "climate change delusion" - and they haven't even yet got to Kevin Rudd and his global warming guru.

Writing in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, Joshua Wolf and Robert Salo of our Royal Children's Hospital say this delusion was a "previously unreported phenomenon".

"A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of apocalyptic events."

I think this says everything that needs to be said. The very fact that the amount of indoctrination about global warming has gone so far that we are now giving our kids psychological illness over it should make environmentalists seriously question their motives. They are now daydreaming of environmental apocalypse.

Why do you think that being concerned about climate change makes someone mentally ill? Does that make 'Friends of the Earth' a bunch of nutters? You're making something out of one man's personal problems, that proves nothing.

That's the nuttiest explanation for delusional behavior I've ever read. The young man was suffering from a mental imbalance, true, but the subject of his delusion is not false. If a person runs a red light, do you blame the light?

Read the article before ranting. These are a team of licensed health professionals who have literally declaring that people are now becoming delusional over global warming to the point of mental illness. Facts are facts.

Actually, the subject of his delusion was quite false. Him drinking water is not going to kill the earth, nor cause global warming.
