This is why America needs to keep importing illegals. Just too much work in this country won't get done because apparently there just aren't enough able Americans as there are jobs.

The trouble with the illegals over here in the UK is that the vast number are law abiding and what to contribute to the economy. The rest just want to come and sponge off the state, The ones that want to work should be made legal and the freeloaders sent packing.
Besides if we kicked out all the illegals who would do the mundane work. certainly not the lazy brits who sit infront of the tele all day while the rest of us have to work to support them, I also think ALL spongers should be kicked out of the country , the illegals sent back to their own coutries and the sponging lazy good fernuthin brits dumped in the channel. or at least what we should do with our own countrymen is bring back national service like in the 50's and make them join the army...

Totally agreed DataWraith! I hate it when Brits complain 'they're taking our jobs!' when if half the country got up off their lazy butts and actually got a job, there'd probably be none left for them to take!

There's plenty of British-born dole-scroungers living off the state not bothering getting up off their butts to get a job. I say if you wanna get rid of the scroungers, lets get rid of them all and not be biased about it! I regret paying the benefits of the guy next door with 10 kids, who is perfectly fit for work, but never bothers cause he's claiming £25,000 a year as much as I do any immigrant's.

I've come across people that haven't bothered working for 5-7 years and just lived on benefits, not because they can't work, but just because they can't be bothered and know how to play the system.

When should the cutoff point in heritage to stay in country?

I mean if you were born there its ok? but your parents not?

How about if your grandfather came to your country should we still send back these "immigrants"

This problem, though thankfully for once not being supported here is just illogical.

If I have the best genealogical history in my country (and I have gone back a long way, hundreds of years, total Celt Mix of Welsh, Irish Scottish no English at all in me!) as I may postulate lol, eventually I will find those Celts from the Gypsies and Indians who walked over the foothills of Russia into Europe a long time ago.

Should I therefor not be allowed here and sent back to India even though I'm White and Caucasian and appear to a have a different race to the Indian/Asian Culture? but look I must of come from there originally.

Now when we all do this we will all get to the same point, that our Heritage leads back to somewhere near the rift Valley in Africa.

Lets deport everyone now back home, just don't think 6 billion people will live in one country.

lets be realistic, as we further crack down on illegals, it opens the door for more to come and get jobs, the system is broke, and until we can actually allow more into the country legally, this is something that can't be fixed.

ALL ILLEGALS should be deported but as mentioned, countries may collapse. Deporting those that came illegally have no legal right to be here, or wherever is not enough though, society would have to change, and the governments would have to drive this. Also as mentioned there are too many free-loading nationals.

There was no Nazi thoughts going through my mind when I wrote the post I put up. I was only stating that those that are prepared to provide an honest contribution to the Uk or any country to that fact should be allowed to stay, those that are sponging off the state and backs of others should be told to leave. The post also stated that the Brits that abuse the welfare state should provide recompense for what they take, a little national service goes a long way to provide a sense of community and pride .
A man with 20 children doesn't want to work because he makes more on the dole than working is just a lazy slob at heart.
Where as sitting on your fat arse and claiming money you and I work hard for and pay our taxes for is tantamount to thievery.

Surely you can see the benefit of a population working for its own productivity and profit. Not for sponging gits who might as well take your wallet everytime you leave work to go home.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought "taller grass, longer lines at fast food".

It's deeper than that.

Americans would have to pay more for housing as many construction jobs from companies knowingly hiring illegals would be out of business. Union companies would have more work with the higher wages from those jobs. Cost of buildings, in general, would go up. Costs are already going sky high from building supplies prices up to double in some cases from last year.

Fast food would be affected. Many places already pay several dollars above minimum wage, in my area, just to attract workers. My daughter makes $9.50 at Jason's Deli, McD's help start at $7.50 and can run over $10 for "would you like fries with that?"people. It's still a tight job market in my area regardless of what the news is saying. There are people of questionable citizenship at several of the fast food places I visit, would it really impact these places if they had to pay a little more to attract help. No the prices would go up a little more, like they have been anyway.

America has a recent history, starting with President Reagan, of prices being held artificially low for a variety of reasons. Illegals doing work cheaper than Americans is just a small part of a much larger picture. This history of low prices is going away very rapidly with soaring energy costs which affects pricing across the economy. The cost of labor always lags, but will catch up, and then prices will rise again.

To throw every illegal out looks good on paper and makes great speech material for politicians. It will not happen on a large scale. You'd raise issues of millions of Mexicans going back to their faltering economy not to mention millions of Asians here for a variety of reasons other than economic. This action would destabilize current governments with an influx of unemployed people who have seen America and would still want that lifestyle in their homeland.

More fatalist nonsense! Nothing would rot in fields, jobs would not go undone and inflation would not skyrocket. Instead, Americans would get hired to to the jobs and would be paid a fair wage. Certain price adjustments would take place but that would be equalized by paying fewer taxes to support a massively over-worked welfare system. Also, you might notice corporations enjoying lower profits, ergo CEOs getting paid a more realistic annual income.

All of this fatalist BS about America collapsing without illegals is pure hogwash perpetrated by bleeding-heart socialists that have ZERO understanding of free-market economics. In fact, its those policies that got us into this mess in the first place. And for those of you who want to classify me as a xenophobe or some other crap allow me to pre-empt you by stating that I am all for immigration - LEGAL and ORDERLY immigration that benefits both citizens and immigrants equally. I can be done, in fact, it was for nearly 200 years!

I think everyone should stop working and live off the state. If you work then you are keeping the system alive. But I guess, some people like being slaves to a bunch of super-rich morons that truly do nothing. So get off your lazy butt at the office and go plant it on the couch. See how quickly they release the technology that will make 99% of jobs obsolete.

I think you generalise Datawrath and you sound like someone who is either in their fifties or from the fifties.There will always be sponging gits fact of life.But I notice you failed to mention the tax avoiders I believe they're breaking the law too.Why is'nt there a govt ad campaign against them as it's just as wrong.I don't know where you live but there are a whole host of problems around people finding work in this country.Most of Britain has no idea how some people have to live in some areas.This is not their fault and there's alot of reasons for it but come on how many people do you really know that has twenty kids?That's just tv sensationalism and people like you watch it and wring their hands and feel better about themselves-and you've fallen for it hook ,line and sinker.Don't forget there are alot of people in #ty jobs who make things for crap wages that we consume.I don't blame some of them for going on the social.
