1) Everyone in this generation is victim to some damage or is being influenced in some way (usually both at the same time).

You've highlighted a symptom of the problem, not the actual problem itself.

2) You could say it has been triggered by our repressed childhoods.

People these days just have so much energy it's unbelievable; but it's chaotic energy, the kind that takes control and makes you "Go with the flow".

The difference between mastering your emotions, and your emotions mastering you, in otherwords.

I think these days the latter has become fairly acceptable, in the way that people are much more accepting of people who give into their emotions because "They don't know what they'd do in that situation" or "It's good to give in to our most basic needs every now and again".

There's a difference between doing that every now and again, and doing it every freakin' night like a lot of people these days do.

These types of events obviously happen with young adults, but many who have children around this age don't care to be reminded of it.

When I see these comercials; it's really confusing that they're allowed on some stations.

These should only be allowed (if at all) on the same types of programing. I didn't go to college or witness these events myself and married way too young.......which probably saved me from some worse case scenariois.

When I had heard news reports of these people who create these videos getting sued for having underage girls in them; I realised more how they're exploiting them at an especially vulnerable time in their lives.

It's obviously exploitation and peer ( +beer) pressure. Alcohol makes them less likely to be inhibited and most know it. So, they blame it on alcohol and hormones, as if some ritual right of passage.


If I had a daughter who was going to go to college, it would most likely be a community college rather than those areas that allow these things to happen. Most parents probably don't tell their own children how stupid they were at that age.

Women are losing their self respect and value more and more as each year rolls out. Chivalry IS dying ... and women are assassinating it!

Act like a whore and get treated one. Quite simple really. One must truly wonder what kind of women are okay with this.

I don't think you can blame some of the girls in the GGW videos, as I stated earlier lots of the grls on videos have been given GHB at some point. And then are further manipulated by the men who film it. These film crews promote drug induced rape as long as they can film it. While females in america as a whole might be raised with the wrong morals, I don't think they are going around looking to get drugged and raped. Spring break is the perfect crime though, the women wake up can't remember anything and write it off as a night of hard drinking. Most don't know unless the guys are caught with the GHB while trying to get the girls(unconscience) from one hotel to the next. Springbreak is nothing but a drunk sex party in most places of the south. I would not send my kids after being a sober observer of such events.

In my opinion this notion of perverse sexual activity is nothing new. One has only to study the history of sex and all will become more clear.

When I was a child in the 50's and early 60's sexual discussion was taboo. Our mothers told us the act of having sex was a duty for us to preform for our husbands. If mother only knew that by 1965 the sexual revolution was well on it's way she would have had a stroke.

Our sexual attitudes come in phases. There have been times when women and men were very open and at ease with sexual matters. Then other times when we were forbidden to even show much of our skin in public.

The GGW thing has been going on since time began. It's just been in the closet.

Humans are hard wired to seek out and enjoy sexual activities. It is natural. Even the lower animals have mating rituals.

The biggest motivation for the GGW movies, strip clubs and other sexual outlets in this period in history is MONEY. It's been said that the greatest fantasy of men is seeing two females preforming a sexual act. And it is a profitable business.

There are, of course, other reasons for this abundant sexual activity. One being power. Yes, women of today desire power over men. There are many men that can be and are controlled by women through sex.

The age old description of a good wife is for her to be a lady in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom.

I am not condoning public sexual actions. I am saying that the sexual urge is very natural.

The sexual tide is turning. I work closely with young men and women. Many are choosing to not engage in premarital sex.

It will be interesting to watch the coming sexual revolution that puts the whore back in the alley or street corner and not in the college dorm.

I feel there have been implications that have gone unnoticed somewhere - there is definately a cause for all this, for those willing to seek it.

I've long been disgusted with American indecency and obscenity laws, as well as the censorship imposed by the FCC. Why the fascination with female breasts? Because they have to be covered at all times by law. It's just stupid. Europe is much more lax about public nudity (beaches, etc), as well as the amount of skin that can be shown on public television, and overall, the rates of sex crimes are much lower than in the States.

If we weren't in such a puritanical patriarchy, it really wouldn't be as big a deal. But we are, so the laws of supply & demand apply.

I love how the attitudes on here show the thinking that women should be given equal freedom, but not equal responsibilities.

A woman gets drunk and does something stupid? "It wasn't HER fault!", "She was drugged with GHB!", "She doesn't know any better!", "Oh, she didn't have a father figure".

It's never "What a dumb, drunken slut!" You people of the older generation, and that includes me (just BARELY! ), understand this: These "women" aren't like your generation of women. These women are useless for anything but sport-sex. As such, that's what they get used for. They expect a useless dichotomy that can never be: They want equality AND chivalry. They expect to act like whores in public, and still be treated like "ladies". Not gonna happen.

Never forget that they are willing accomplices in their debasement. Anyone who thinks otherwise has never spent ANY time around women when they talk frankly. If you think MEN are competitive, you've never spent any time around women. There is a saying: "Kitty Kats Kompete". They want to have the attention of everyone in the room, if only for a brief moment. Young men have a label they apply to such women: "Attention Whore".

Young women have willingly pulled themselves out from under the protection of men. When this happens, these are the results you get. Are you surprised? Do you disagree? It doesn't matter. Women in our society didn't want true equality, they wanted the "equality" of being able to do whatever they wanted, without the responsibility of being held accountable for their choices. And our society does not hold women as accountable as men. All a woman has to do to get a slap on the wrist for murdering her husband is claim "abuse". Disbelieve me? Look up the sentences and compare men who murder their wives, with women who murder their husbands.

In conclusion, the "Girls Gone Wild" effect is what you get when you give women freedom without the accompanying responsibility. It is the direct result of feminism's "women need men like a fish needs a bicycle". Feminists rejoice! The younger generation of women believed you! They embraced it! Only when they hit their early 30s, when their good looks fade, do they realize the lie they have been fed. Oh, and what a bitter pill it is, for sure.

Men in the west have started to see how women behave when given license to "do anything a man can do". Not only will they do things a drunken sailor would be ashamed of, they will BRAG about it.

Welcome to the wonderful world you have created, feminists. Where men view women the same way they did 500 years ago. As something to be used.

I believe this is all a result of many factors combined:

*Technology (cameras, DVDs, etc)
*Our overally sexualized society (porn, Playboy, Victoria’s Secret, sexy commercials, etc)
*The general frenzy of the spring break atmosphere
*Girls wanting to be the center of attention and knowing that sex is what gets attention (“hey look at me, im on film now and will be famous”….”all the guys want me and are paying attention to me”)
*The drinking and drugs
*The first time away from mom and dad, experiencing “freedom” and wanting to break loose and be wild and crazy
*The encouragement from money hungry horny guys who are using these girls and taking advantage of their situation

Fact is. Sex sells. It is shoved down our throats. It is plastered all over TV, billboards, magazines that THIS is what guys want and this how is we (as females) should be. The sad part is, there aren’t enough people in these girl’s lives to tell them there is more to them then their bodies. Or they are used to getting what they want by flaunting. They have been brought up with a false sense of what a woman is and should be. This generation of girls (that is seen on these films) knows nothing else. I was not raised this way (im a product of the 70s/80s). I didn’t see everything so sexualized.

Yes, sex and wild parties have been around for ages. But it has NOT sold as entertainment until technology allowed it to be. And really, if people weren’t buying these DVDs, they would not be made and sold. The demand and desire is there for it; therefore it doesn’t go away.

There are many people who are held responsible for it. The girls themselves. They chose to put themselves in that situation (by going to spring break and partying/drinking). The parents letting the underage girls go to spring break. The guys taking advantage of them (buying drinks, drugging them, etc) and the GGW crew. The people buying these DVDs. Everyone is to blame for this.

How many did you buy? I have 5 of the GGW videos. I was some what disapointed as they don't feel real.

Freedom of expression, liberalism in society, alcohol, youth/student party culture. It's more acceptable to see these wild things going on these days. It's just how today's youth have fun.

When I see the advertisements for Girls Gone Wild, it looks like the girls lack one thing: intelligence.

I mean, they look like complete, drunken idiots. Will these girls ever become doctors, lawyers, engineers, or contribute anything useful to society? Possibly. But...when they're completely drunk, flashing their breasts to complete strangers on TV - I'd guess not. It looks like the best thing they can do is reproduce.

It just doesn't look good for women. It makes you think that all college girls act that way - it makes you think that there's no way these girls could study textbooks and actually answer questions clearly and coherently.

I'm going to suggest that it's a mix of poor education (dumbing down of society), conditioning (brainwashing) through the mainstream media, prescription drugs, and the bombardment of chemicals (water flouridation, synthetic chemicals in the food supply and personal care products). Keep in mind that prescription drugs are also in the water supply.

Everyone in America carries a chemical burden and everyone's chemical burden is different and everyone is affected in a different way. Combine that with the poor education and media conditioning makes it almost impossible to prove that any one thing is causing this behavior.

I would like to add that I was on prescription antidepressants for 7 years and it had a profound negative affect on my behavior and decision-making processes. I finally got my life back on track after I got off the meds (did this successfully by changing to an all-organic diet).

So it's my opinion that all of the items I mentioned above are being used to turn our society into a mass of stupid sheep to be herded to the slaughterhouse.

i dont know but i'm not complaining.i'm all for having fun and being reckless as long as no one is getting hurt, as long as i dont do anything i would be ashamed of i'd do whatever the helll i want to hell with all of this political correctness.

'm not part of a herd i'm an individual and i'll do what i feel if fun and enjoy life at the most because i'd rather spend everyminute hacing fun rather than worrying if my actions might make someone feel unconfortable.
