First, utmost respect for SEALS. Do I claim to be one? Nope. Do I know some? Yeah, a few. You can count Demo Dick of Red Cell as one of them too.

The SEALS I know keep a low profile. Even wannabes are just that...wannabes, and not a single SEAL I know needs to threaten a wannabe. The real SEAL knows who is the real deal and no wannabe tadpole is a threat to that. In fact, even SEALS can appreciate the disinformation, since it helps their "A" game. That being said, I find it too bad that you needed to spend so many posts bothering about his title.

I know, I know...now I'm on the hit list, now. I just think the 48 hour count-down and the threats are overkill. So what? Anyone could see he was not a real SEAL or real deal in one post, roger that?

And hey, if you wanna drop the $2K and come over, well I say hoo-ya! I know you is the bad, bad froggy and need to whoop up on the civilians, but you know...hiding ain't my style and some civilians bite too.

I like your style man. That's funny...

based on that statement, then people who read your posts would assume that you're cool, right ?

Frankly I have no idea what they would think, maybe we should start a topic on that?

BTW now I am also curious as to what your "medical condition" is?

that I do, I always try to have fun at everything I do !

To answer another question, I have a bad back that prevents me from serving. I actually stood in front of my Commanding Officer and came to tears when they informed me that I would have to be "discharged" for my medical condition.

Unfortunately yes, you get points when people post to a topic you start.

Damn, dude. I'm sorry to hear that. At least you get compensation for it, right? Some people's jobs don't do that for them.

That's crazy. Do you think he did this intentionally? He knew I would get fired up about his not removing the custom line. Is it possible that he is that smart?

Mr. M

I doubt it, you don't often get fired up like that in public.

Check your U2U and respond back please.

Wonder if we can move this to the RANT or mudpit?

nope nothing... Navy determined it was a pre-existing condition, only took them a year to do so.

It's not like I'm handicapped or anything, I still golf, play basketball and stuff, just when the back acts up, I'm down from 1 day to a week. it happens 2-3 times a year. i guess they figured I wouldn't be anygood to anyone on a ship with that happening.

My dream was to serve on the USS Enterprise !

DC,
If you have not already, take a look at these:

www.seal.navy.mil...

and

www.navyseals.com...

Peace brother, we are on the same side.

Those are both the same text, and they both corroborate what I have already put up there. Sure modern Special Naval Warfare operators can trace their origins from those units, but I had a Ranger platoon sergeant that traced his roots from the chow hall. He originally enlisted as a cook, and when he saw all the muffin the rangers got, he re-enlisted with a contract.

Raiders and Scouts are not specialized units. They are organic assets with special functions. First, I was an infantry man, then I was in a scout platoon, then I got lucky and got selected for LRS-D, but I was still an infantryman.

I don't know why I'm arguing this. Semantics, I guess. I always get hung up on those. Well, I just believe my grandfather, and I believe what the Navy had to say.

Now, I'm going to log off and pout... Or have a sandwich.

Roger that Mr. M.

That kid wouldn't know a real shooter until it was too late. He couldn't fathom going outside his comfort circle and pushing himself beyond his limits. It's a movie dream to him.

He's a Herman Snerd all the way.

As for Red Cell (back to the topic), many things are still classified from their actions. Taking whole bases was pretty easy for them though. Unconventional which is how a tango thinks. Somethime the military just doesn't get that. I also think Red Cell and the "terrorist" ops were a cover cover too. I thing they had a few other activities under the radar.

I agree, it is probably better for most civilians to not know about stuff like that as it is not civilized to engage in unconvential warfare. However what they fail to realize is that is a necessary evil.

Herman Snerd?
Haven't heard that one in a while.

ZeddicusZulZorander, you are correct. There was a hell of a lot going on.

The main reason Red Cell was disbanded is because of the brass. The brass was upset because Red Cell would come through doing their "threat assessments" on their base or ship, and make the brass out to be morons. Every op made the unit conducted on look like they were unsat. Finally enough people complained, and it got disbanded.

That's the real reason. Sad, huh? Worry more about your ego than the safety of your command...sigh...

That's funny. I will admit, though, that job is pretty laid back. Those guys don't do anything!

Sorry to hear that you had to get out, though I was surprised that you were told by your CO. Every time I get bad medical news it comes from a doctor or the ship's doc.

As far as the signature goes, hope you got your heat shields on.

Just kidding, bro. That's funny!
