That's right....only 196 days left before GWB trashes the Constitution and refuses to relinquish the presidency.

What do you think is going to happen between now and then that will serve as the excuse for suspension of succession?

Nothing. Not even the neocons will accept that. That would be equivalent to suspending the 2nd Amendment. That said, do you think that Obama or McCain will be any different than what you have now?

Sadly, no. I'm on the downhill side of 40, and I've never been so un-inspired. I found Jimmy Carter to be the most ineffective and misguided President in my lifetime, but I'm convinced he was the last to become elected who wasn't annointed before hand by the "power behind the scenes" - whoever that is.
