The rings don't match up for me because you can clearly see in one pic it was small enough to leave a deep impression his finger.

Secondly, as I said earlier, his marital status was being questioned in this thread, he goes off and takes a pic of his hand with the ring and posts it. Now don't you think if he wanted to prove he posessed a wedding ring, he would have just used the pic he used before in the hebrides thread? Why go to the trouble of taking, uploading and posting a new one?

He claims to be a real outdoors kinda guy, but no tan-lines from the rings.
He throws out some random comment 'I'm whiter than white too, cus I live in a cold wet climate' ..... then in another post he makes it seem he uses sun-beds, when repeating that a doctor told him to lay off the sun-beds to treat his atopic dermatitis, that probably should have been called irritant caused dermatitis (or whatever it is). The skin condition he named is is more of an excema. Yet the redness doesn't resemble excema or an injury from electrocution.

Eye-balls exploding being completely obliterated, then another post it hung from his face that was intact ... then the face was hanging in another post ...

Too many inconsistencies, and the spelling errors he and his wife share, and all the other mistakes he made in telling this story.

He claims to know how to interrogate prisoners (aren't they usually questioned before inprisonment?) and says 'I know what you're trying to do to me, to goad me into a confession, but you won't get one'. Again this hints at a guilty conscience, he fears being caught and forced to confess. If he's as good as he says he is, then he'd be better at covering his tracks. He's sloppy, and he should know that interrogators look for inconsistencies ...

OK, I have been looking over your thread on this subject for about 5 hours now, and I am still not done. But I need to take a break and by the time I get back there will be another 20 pages I am sure.

These are the things that make me wonder. Several times you have stated that you don't sleep at night. Has this always been and If so what were you doing sleeping at night that night?

Over and over you talk about not sleeping at night. The following quote is from one of your posts:

So I really cant understand why you were asleep that night. I wouldn't bring this up, but it is something that you repeat often in the posts.

Also you have stated that this being leaned over as if to touch your wife or child ( actually you said "while its leaning over my family". I thought about this, you said you have a King size bed. Being an artist I get very visual with what is being written. Was this thing leaning over you at the same time? Cause I don't know how you pulled it down with you without hitting your wife's body otherwise. Is your bed against the wall, or is the alien a stupid one?

This alien took over 100 blows or stabs from you, yet no scratches on the wooden floor? You threw the axe down, yet no marks??

I realize your wife doesn't want your photos on the net, yet you head butted this thing many times. No head photos at all, not even a forehead. If all you did was have skin contact with this thing and it effected your skin, why wasn't your head skin effected?

You also say this over and over and over: " around my room in the dark at night", you stress a lot about it being dark, dark, dark. OK then if it is so dark why can you remember so many 'colorful details' The color of the skin, they eyes, the clothes, the ties that held the clothes together, and lots more.

I am not saying it didn't happen, not at all, these are just questions to you. Another thing, to much detail, honestly. In a traumatic situation people don't tend to remember that much, especially if they are thrashing about with a knife and an alien.

Oh and I still don't get the part about your wife and one minute there is a blond thing at the door, then a dolphin, then little people and a cube. I think you need to set down and write it all out by hand and then make sure you don't leave anything out, then post it.

Oh, and I have a great idea for you. Talk to whoever is in charge here at ATS or BTS or whatever and have a contest. An Art contest, cause all kinds of people are trying to create what ever you saw. You could pick the winner of who ever comes closest. I'd enter it, for sure. You had asked at one point one of the guys if he had created the pic he sent you and that you would like a copy. Which makes me want to ask you one more question...

Why would anyone want a peice of work that looked like thier attacker??

and lacquer

People who do this are trying to use the input from others to help create the hoax. It saves them time and trouble.

But why egg such behavior on? People like this have undoubtedly moved on to other interests, having had their ego stroked sufficiently.

Imagine you had something like this happen. Would you have paused in a frenetic recounting to go to google pictures of exotic knives and posted the pic of them on the midde of the first page?

Would you have started with a warning of graphic content?

Myself, I'd want to post nearly stream of consciousness to get all the details out as quickly as possible before I forgot important details. I wouldn't be concerned with macho posturing, nor would I be writing it in near screen-play ready format, with almost novelistic verbiage.

Let's not miss the forest for the trees. Real accounts don't sound anything like this. In addition experiencers don't wait a couple days before posting.

I would like to defend Dan's statements, as these allegations have no truth behind them.

A) When darkness drops is alluding to the fact of the dark descending upon the land. So, when it becomes dark, he becomes awake. I believe you are assuming that he is talking about when darkness leaves. You are mistaken. Again, this is people making assumptions falsely.

B) Dan lives in Scotland. So, yes he might have been asleep when it was dark where you are from... but he was awake at night where he is from, hence he is asleep during short periods of the day.

Again, I can surely see why Dan regrets his bringing this into the limelight of normal ATS. If only I could gain membership to RATS.

The knife is the key. It's all about the knives, pics and everything. without them it's nothing. The ring is a symble of love, he love his wife and can't believe that he hit his family that he loves while sleeping.

I've had a few ideas myself about guilt, and that he actually could have a wife, but she isn't really posting.

He said the 'good news' for the knife was about Jesus, that if he's gonna give 'em the knife they're gonna meet Jesus, or something to that effect. He mentioned Jesus again, and that he was Catholic, but not fanatical about it, whatever. Here again I saw how his mind may think, because it turns out his avatar his the saint of killers, and it's related to the devil, the saint of killers hates everyone. OK, it's just some comicbook hero, but maybe he has other demonic interests, and maybe he attracted some supernatural attention or nothing happened and he simply believes it did, and this tale got twisted around and aliens become the culprits, because he has this hero persona going on in his head, who knows. Just another theory to toss around.

I can understand having a fave comic, but as an adult how can a fictional character in a comic be your hero? Why such a hero as that? Although other members on here have raved about the hero as well, to each their own I guess.

His name dan tanna is also a fictional character, a detective. So your idea of this tv show is entirely plausable.

I'm not anyways, and really don't mean to judge, but his story is a bit of a challenging puzzle.

Suspecting that someone would come back on this, I actually made notes of the times he posted. I have it saved it all in Wordpad on my computer.

This post was posted at 3 in the afternoon, his time, in case you want to check it out you can. But I am not so dense as to not have what facts I can get together together before I ask a question. I actually have been studying this because I find it compelling, and Dan knows this.
The quote of Dans that I was making a point about was this, "Soon a s darkness drops I become awake." If he is awake in darkness then how did he wake up when the being showed up in the bedroom, because he would have already been awake.

Before I posted the above mentioned post I sent a letter to Dan and his wife. They know I was going to ask some odd questions. Why are you defending him, isn't it up to him to explain if he wants? I am not attacking Dan in anyway, in fact I consider him a friend. I do not doubt the validity of his story. I am merely trying to get the whole picture.

If Scotland is on GMT it's 8 hours ahead of san fran. I'm in same time zone as SF (Pacific Time) and we're 8 hrs behind UK.
