I get that feeling too. He doesn't even seem old enough to be able to have a wife, in some of the ways he writes.

For example, the blow by blow description of his attack, reads like some sick fantasy murder though the mind of a 16 year old, rather than a concise report an a adult would write.

I find Dan's experiences intriguing and believable and will be following developments closely.
In his defence: Earlier, he did say that he had to have some sleep and would be back later. Also, many people here in the UK write 'of' instead of 'have' (ex-English teacher speaking!), because that is how they speak and it stands to reason that if one of a couple speak and write like this, then the other one will probably do it too.
I hope that he doesn't confine his experience in the woods to the RATS forum because a quick head count shows that there are more of us who believe him than those who don't.

Very interesting and compelling story here to say the least. I am no expert and certainly noone to judge what you are saying as true or false. I would even be prone to believe something as fantastic as this story is.

There is one question that is troubling me and I must ask you this . Believe me here when I say that I am not trying to be insulting or malicious in any way, just trying to line up the facts.


Ok...here is what doesn't make any sense to me.

In your original post you mentioned that this encounter took place on July 1st, right? But from what I have seen by viewing your posting history, you did not first post this thread originally until July 3rd, two full days later.

Now I could understand that, being that a violent night time attack involving a fish monster/alien would be extremely unnerving. Especially considering that you were also injured, shocked or scraped and what not, during the fray. Must have been a terribly traumatic event to say the least for you and your wife. Im sure it would take 24-48 hours to collect your thoughts and calm down and come to terms with what had happened.

That parts makes a little sense.

BUT.....the problem that I am running into is that fact that your post history shows that between your last post on July 1 (which I am assuming was the last one of the night prior to going to bed and encountering this fish beast)...between that last post on July 1 and the very first posting here on ATS about the attack, you actually had 18 other posts, ranging in all sorts of mundane and non important topics by comparison.

Now to me that just doesnt make sense. How could a guy who had been through such a mind altering, life changing, psychologically and emotionally challenging event like you have describe POSSIBLY get up the next day on the 2nd and spend and entire day/night posting on threads on ATS, never once mentioning the events that had happened, and all posts seemingly quite normal and without any signs of duress.

Basically what I am saying, if this event happened to me I seriously doubt that I would be in reasonable condition to come on an internet web site 24 hours after and post about such topics as Canadian ISP issues or Bill C51.

Just doesnt add up mate. Any police investigator will know that what a person does following a supposed event says as much about a person and their story as what happened during the event itself.

Any good investigator would pick you apart, it just does not add up in any way. Sorry again if this seems like an attack of some sorts, just trying to get to the truth of the matter here. And obviously you should have expected a certain amount of scrutiny by posting this.

I just wanted to point out, the latest illustration Dan's wife did, it is clearly drawn over top of one of the photos someone else posted earlier, one of the "did it look like this?" posts. The very 3D looking reptilian. Now I'm not saying that this necessarily hurts their credibility, she never said she completely drew the new picture by hand, I just thought it should be pointed out.

Also if they went after Dan for seeing them in the woods and having this information about him, do you think everyone who read this thread is now in trouble tonight and likely to have a similar encounter?

I would hope ATS takes action against you and your hasty judgement basing it on merely a few words that were posted by the wife and husband. You have proven nothing, if you haven't noticed they are from the UK and English is used in a very different way than in other parts of the world. If you were learned you would know about how grammar is used and spoken in the UK. I think you should just go away until you have absolute evidence of this being a hoax which you will never have. Why are you even involved in this thread in the first place if you don't believe? It appears you are here with the full intention of debunking it. I hope action is taken against you for rudeness and false accusations with no proof.

Several pages back when someone asked did any weird people show up afterward, you did not say no, you said you didn't want to talk about it at this time. Will you ever? If you did in RATS, I'm a long way off from 5000 pts.

Honestly, your reaction encourages me that not everyone freezes up in threatening situations. I've never been in a life threatening situation so I'm not sure how I'd react. I hope I could fight or run and not just freeze up.

I don't think your reaction was overboard. I think alot of the people who say you're psycotic or whatever have not actually imagined themselves in that situation - truly imagined it.

You didn't invite it outright. It's not like YOU went sneaking onto its ship in the middle of the night and THEN it came to your house in the middle of the night. Even if it was curious, it was foolish and was not observing you in a proportional way to how you observed it.

And people who said it "cried out in pain" - like that is a reason to stop attacking and see what it wants. I'm sure a would-be murderer or robber or rapist sneaking around in your house at night would be crying out in pain as you stab him, but that's no reason to let up and say, oh - were you planning on killing me? If anything comes into your home uninvited it gave up any "rights" to life.

If it really wanted to talk, it would have found a way to do so - it found a way into his house, didn't it?

I'd thought about it being an astral thing, but Dan's knife blade is gone.

To me, the "of"/"have" proves nothing conclusive. The majority of people here write "alot" as one word, mix up their/they're/there. That is why these are considered COMMON grammatical errors. Now the putting a space before their "?" every time, on the other hand....

I think it is pretty obvious what is going on here. I like to approach these claims with an open mind, but this is taking it a little far for my tastes. Interesting and intriguing none-the-less.

I am a bit curious about comparison of the two events. The woods seems as many reported with events somewhat unclear, repression, etc. The second is in vivid detail. Any one have an idea as to this difference? Due to location, familiar surroundings or such.

For anyone wondering, here is a timeline of all of Mr. Tann's posts dating from the last post on July 1 all the way up to the first post regarding this attack

Just to prove I am not making this up.


So Mr. Tanna, is it your contention that a day after a fight for your life versus an alien/fish monster in the dead of night, you felt compelled to come on ATS the next day and spend the entire day posting about such mundane and frivalous topics as are listed below? Not once mentioning what had just transpired, nor showing any signs of panic or duress?

Does that not strike ANYONE else as odd?

I recall being laid on my right side, looking at the door that is at the end of the room and wondering why it is open. We never slep with the door ajar, it is always closed at night. Daniel is afraid of house fires, so why has he left the door open ? I am getting out of bed slowly when I see a small child sat on the floor playing with a cube of iredescent light. It is beautiful and I sorley wish to play with it. The small child stands up, and hands me the cube. She has the most amazingly wonderful brown eyes, big brown eyes just like my daughter.

She leads me to the edge of the bed, and I lay once more on my side watching this cube tumble and rotate in the air, marvelling at its ability to float and roll in the air currents. The small child strokes my hair and I feel a gentle tugging as the covers are pulled up over me until i am covered almost to my chin. The cube stays rotating at my eye level.

The room however then begins to distort, and I feel panicky and want to move. The quilt seems superglued to my form and I am unable to move. The room distorts further and further, and then folds in on itself. It seems we are small, very small, almost microscopic in size relation to the room now, and yet I can feel Twiggy laid next to me breathing softly, I can hear Daniel in his normal deep sleep pattern. Yet we are tiny, shrunk down to matchbox sized and we are floating with this cube.
More of these small children are in the room, but they are busy. They have small belts with loopes and boxes on them, like Daniels belt kit, but small and of the scaled material they seem to use. They are every where around us. They are on hands and knees, they are shining these green torches at all and every surface of the room, and I laugh a little as they are even cleaning the toys that were under the bed, hidden amongst all the other junk and suitcases under there.

They seem to be finishing, they are leaving one by one, and I again panicky, are they going to leave us spinning here above the bed ?, I am trying to call them back, but it seems one is still not quite finished. Drawing out a large piece of that scaled material, he holds it against the wall. a brief flash emits from it and he folds it back into a small tiny square, tucking it neat and tidy into his belt. They all leave apart from the young girl. She floats us back to the floor, and I can feel us occupying the room at correct size once more. She stands by the bed and takes the cube from me. I call out, and she darts to the door way and Daniel leaps from his side and tries to run to the door. It slams shut in his face as if an invisible hand had hold of it. he runs to the window and throws it open, shouting and screaming. He turns to look at me, his eyes seem very blank, but he just smiles his half sleepy smile and gets back into bed.

I awake in the morning and he is sat on the bed with a knife handle in his hand. The blade has vaninished. My telling him of a fantastical dream I had last night goes right out of my mind. Fear and anger course through me, anger at the night, anger at these creatures, and anger at Daniel and his stupid need to get pictures of some thing he nor I understand. Why did he go into the woods ? well I would say curiosity for most part, and a desire to show people on this board he was not a liar or a fantasist; He really had seen these craft and he really did know where they were landing.

I feel in hindsight that this was either a strange misfortune for him and us, or it was a trap that went awry and they did not expect to meet Daniels stubborn minded nature coupled with his natural agressive defensiveness.

Which ever it is, I pray to Jesus that it never, ever happens again.

I don't want to be rude, but I think you have misunderstood just about everything if you think that only people who agree with the OP can get involved in a thread. ATS is about denying ignorance, remember?

And yes, I am in this thread with the full intention of debunking it. I don't like being lied to.

Okay all of this hypnosis/repressed memory regression stuff that is bringing out new information is just starting to sound really corny to me. How are you both able to do this, and how were you able to type out your own memories if you were in a relaxed state? It also doesn't seem like a typical "good Christian" thing to do... seems rather occult to me.

If it was left at the initial story, I would have believed... but with all this additional stuff it's starting to seem like a mockery and like they are trying to make fools out of us, see how much we can really believe. Next will come the story about how the aliens stopped time altogether and they went on a journey for the past month where they were told "the ultimate truth".

Well, I am new to all of this but here goes.

It sounds like Dan went investigating into the woods and ran into something. What? It isn't very clear but it sounds possible he was abducted. My thinking is that his rage and animal savagery towards the creature completely overwhelmed it and so it didn't have time to disable him or put him to sleep. Another possibility is that it is hard for it to communicate telepathically with a knife through it's eye. Now his reaction could have come from a mixture of things, I believe it could have been purely defensive instincts kicking in to defend his family. But what I have been speculating on is that he had had a previous encounter with this creature or another of it's species in the woods. This could have triggered some unpleasant emotions and resulted in his attack.

Someone said what if they now come after everyone who read this thread..well I say bring it on. They want to see some real savagery? Come into my room in the middle of the night uninvited and unexpected. In all honesty though I would prefer not to be visited by any reptilians or grays for that matter. Both sound pretty nasty and my reaction would not be very "peaceful".

I wonder why you attacked it outright, It could have simply been curious...

Hello Yarcofin. An answer to why I place a space between the end of a word and a question mark. I like clear definition of my wording on a PC screen, and also see that as this is not a dissertaion level piece I can and will type adn present my words as I see fit to. This includes adding a space in my question marks. Grade me down for punctuation.


Now, to explain why Daniel also does it. I marked and corrected alot of his university work on a computer screen before he handed his tutors a rough draft for their comments. It would drive me up the wall that my eyes were being strained, and for three years I asked him to place a spacing to prevent eye strain (you will be amazed at how this little space can prevent eye strain as your brain fills in gaps of words, as long as the first and last letter are in correct order. Having this space meant I could speed read and correct it faster than reading word by word).

So, grammatical errors ? Please, when your a University tutor worry about it, until then, don't.
