Very interesting thread, after reading it all i'm more interested in the 'clean up' that hasnt been mentioned much.

You say you posted pictures of the aftermath in RATS, would love to see these.

Are there holes in your carpet/floor from the knife? Is there visible evidence of marks left fom the ice axe? Im sure 'the maid' couldn't have removed this evidence as easily as the fluids left behind.

Also you or your wife mentioned the smell of coconut, have you smelt this before? say like in a shampoo? Do you have any coconut products in your house that could of been used?

Kudos for telling your story! I suggest you stay in and have a few wee drams instead of exploring those woods for the next few days

Either you are 14 times stronger than a normal human, or your CQB knife was a dud.

Hi, am new to posting and a bit blurry after reading through this long thread. But thought I would add my own comment.

Dan, you've mentioned that you are not normally a hairs breath away from killing anybody and have mentioned frequently that the protective instincts in you overwhelmed you, causing your animalistic rage.

My thoughts however, are that, although that instinct is valid and justified - protective rage over immenient threat - what if it was more than that? You didn't appear to have a micro-pause at all to just be surprised, to yell or scream. Your instincts went from looking at it, to killing it. (again, not saying it wasn't justified).

With the obvious reference to mind messing with (dolphin man) could it be that either a) Fish man was messing with your brain - which wasn't as receptive to this, and you felt attacked by it instantly? or b) you had perhaps run into it or something similar at some point, and not having consciously remembered it, but enough to make you leap to the killing edge without thought? c) the mere fact that it was so utterly terrifying and not-normal would have brought you instantly to that killing edge, to destroy it utterly before it could destroy you and yours?

So the anger was more, How dare it come in here? But behind that was terror that it could, and did, come into your home without any apparent difficultly. Which no doubt has left you feeling totally unsafe and unprotected. I'd imagine you are having trouble sleeping now?

I saw an ET in a dream once and it was disturbing. Now there is a nice aluminum baseball bat under my bed. This gives comfort to me although the human neighbors are my biggest concern. If I do see an ET in real life, I think I will bash it.

Hi Dan - thanks for putting this here where I can read it - I recently joined here because others had expressed interest in my line of research (the Terra Papers, etc.) and find the rats level unattainable for me which is most unfortunate because I have forty, yes forty, years of research to share with people who really want to know which means to me people who will listen and make an informed choice rather than dissing it from the start as happens here time after time because that's the way it is 'out there' - one person has an experience and tells ten others - how many believe them? 1? 2? A few will have an alternative explanation, a few will glaze over because it just might really mean their world isn't as they thought their entire lives, and a few will obviously write them off as wacky, just like it happens on ATS - so goes the world, folks -

Yours is one of the most dramatic stories I've ever come across. And while I always reserve a little bit until I can actually hear the voice to the words, I found much in what you wrote credible at face value for sure.

As much as I love and hate the thought of et's at the same time, my gut tells me they're here everywhere just as you and others have experienced. I have not had a personal experience like that (thank goodness) though I've been researching them for decades - I have seen things and met things I would not define as terrestrial, but never in a frightening (or alone) experience.

Thank you for sharing, I personally want to hear real stories as I'm planning on getting back into the public arena with this information again soon and want to help get those stories out.

As for sleeping right afterwards - they have the technology to manipulate us like marionettes and can do whatever they like so it makes perfect sense that after that you were unconscious while they cleaned up - also explains why there's never physical evidence - because they have the technology! People keep comparing them to us - first mistake - they are far, far, far ahead of us technologically so can put out there for us to see whatever, and put us out for them to do whatever.....

I think that given there are most likely thousands of different species in the universe, it's probably fairer to say some aliens have this technology.

I get what you're saying. It may be an interdimensional being capable of presenting itself differently. It may have sensed Dan's wife would react calmly to the Dolphin figure, and that Dan wouldn't care what it looked like at all.

I honestly have no idea why you would attack this being. It looks friendly enough to bring you an ice-cream cone. It doesn't sound like there was any apparent threat. Period. If so, you'd be the first to have such an event. I suppose it was that "parental instinct" that kicked in for you to react that way, but honestly, I think you and your knives should be locked up. Hey Dan, if this was asked im sorry but I didnt see it anywhere,

How "strong" was the being to tangle with? When you grappled and rolled onto the floor, did you overpower it fairly easily, was it just about as strong as you, or was it overpowering you in sheer strength? What of agility/quickness, meaning did it seemingly have joints and a skeleton inside of it, or did it seem to have no internal frame?

My other question, if you're still out there:

You say you unusually became tired and went straight to sleep afterwards, suspecting it used some sort of chemical, ability, or power on you to make you sleep. When you burst its' eye, were you on the bed? Didnt any of the creature's goop and "blood marmalade" get on the sheets or pillow, you said it was on your forearm and hand? You never mentioned washing up before falling fast asleep. You never mention the sheets either.

A couple of questions

Why the knife?Couldnt you have ejected this thing from your house with your bare hands?I take it if you have a blade like this you perhaps may be a martial Artist,so it makes me wonder why you decided to kill it

sure i understand you family where there,but if someone was in my house later at night in my room near my family there leaving through the nearest window!Be it open or closed-I wouldnt dream of stabbing them,the only knifes i have are in the kitchen and they stay there!

Have you informed the local police?Never mind contacting ufo groups online you should be telling the old bill.They might not believe you but if your honest about this incident then that shouldnt bother you

Perhaps they might have info on other sightings that are not reported in the papers

Dont mean to be hard on you for using a blade,its something I would use only as a last resort if i felt my life was in danger,in this case an unarmed (human form being)would get unarmed treatment back at him/her

I completely believe this story...

The fact that this account seems so unique has me almost convinced it's not a hoax. Of course there is a possibility, but Dan has always seemed like a "no nonsense" member to me who wouldn't pull a hoax.

The main thing that sticks out to me is the golden colour. I have never heard anyone else describe an alien as "golden" before. I don't know why this rings so true. If it was a hoax, I'd almost completely expect a typical grey encounter. The fact that he goes into so much gruesome detail, and also the fact that it is exactly what I would do in that same situation.

I'll tell you one thing, I'm putting a knife within arm's reach of my bed tonight. I now realize that if something is in my room, I'm not going to have time to get the baseball bat under my bed or the knives on the shelf above my bed in a closed box, or the knives in the dresser drawer across the room. Even though nothing like this is likely to happen to me (I'm sure he thought the same thing before this incident too though), if I meet a fish-man in the middle of the night, you can guarantee he's going to be sushi.

Dan: If you are ever unlucky enough to run into one of these things again, I would focus soley on the neck and trying to get the head off this thing... I don't know about aliens, but most animals here don't do well once decapitated.

This story has some correlation to some of the alien encounters and abduction stories that if you focus your hate or rage towards the alien, any psychic attack be it natural or technological can be resisted somewhat, hence the OP's ability to fight back and took a stab at the creature.

I doubt the alien originally meant you harm, since they would have fried you and your wife before getting out of there. More like an alien version of Steve Irwin trying to tackle an angry crocodile. He was bitten once or twice by wild animals, but he never killed any.

Though I'm not saying you're a wild animal, I'm just giving you an analogy.
