So you want to Usurp the Government? Fine... then do something 70 percent of America fails regulary to do- Be active in it and vote more than just a
few times in your lifetime. Actually be apart of your community rather than just residing in it.
Remember when some of us had to sit through Civics class..recite the pledge, actually read the Constitution and the Decleration of Independence, and
actually learn what it takes to be good citizen and contributing member of your community? If not then you don't really know what its like to be a
"citizen" of anything. [unless of course you actually served in the military... I wish them Godspeed and safety in what ever they do]
This is the Revolution that America needs. America needs her soul to actually give a damn, to be motivated for causing real change, move beyond talk,
teach what it means to be an American and then walk that walk.
When you talk of the failure of the Government- you talk about the collective failure of its People to do what was constitionally mandated of that
people- To be an participant in its governance.. going beyond paying taxes, whining about special interest groups.... and ending at being
compassionate about the actual less fortunate, voicing their concerns, either by vote or petition, demanding to be educated and informed; and,
finally, to be personally accountable for thier own actions.
This IS the america that the world misses- and it's demise started with the American Populace not the puppets they willfully ignored into power.
Like it or not We as a people willfully and negiglently allowed our power to be taken away, our soul to be chained- and it didnt take Bush and
Cheney to do it all.. it's been going on way way longer than that.
"The Rugged, self sustaining, cowboy of yesterday rode into the sunset; waved off by the Corporate Yes man of Today"
Sometimes Its hard to see the answer even when it's staring you in the face.
I see all the time the bumper sticker " Of all the things I fear.. I fear my government the most". All I can say to that is: if you Fear your
government then your already paralyzed and not that big of a threat to it. It's already won, and all without firing a single shot in anger.
"people should NOT fear thier government... The government should fear Its people" -Thomas Jefferson.

A general strike might work. Even 10 per cent of people in certain critical areas could bring the US to a halt.

They try to take our guns and we have the major problem - IMHO!!! That is when I will stand and say 'Not from my hands'!! And, I will be prepared to
use them!!

FYI they are already taking guns. Ask the Katrina residents. Ask the Iowa Residents. Your guns are subject to confiscation upon any declared
emergency.

Hey now, that's the American way! Or at least, we've degraded to that point. Most people think freedom means lots of channels on their HDTV, a job
that can pay for the gas in their SUV, and some spare cash left over for McDonalds!

This is essentially level 1 insurgency based on some US army docs I read lately, I expect any of you who have agreed with this are now on the
watchlist.

I get a real kick out of those that scream about our loss of freedoms. They write about how they have lost all of these things, but they never give
any real examples.
Just what rights have you lost?
The right to pray in school? No, you can still do that, but the government can not impose their version of a prayer on everyone.
The right to keep and bear arms? The Supreme Court just upheld that right. BUt, no you can;t own your own howitzer; your own machine gun, etc. But
then again, why would you want them, unless you are up to no good?
You have freedom of speech (unlike in our neighbor to the north), you have the freedom to move anywhere you want (including to leave this country at
any time), the freedom to make millions of dollars, and the freedom to fail.
Just because YOU don't like the way things are does not mean that this is true of the majority of people. If they really want to change things, they
can, by throwing out the people that have been elected to office.
So tell us folks, just exactly what rights have you had taken from you?

Does that include the people who would intend to go about it peacefully?
I imagine so, but do you know for sure?

Found this in today's headlines on Yahoo. Doesn't seem to be just a vocal minority within this site.
The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking
history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record
high in that dubious category
full story...
I would never give any of these rascals a good or excellent rating for over the last 25 years. At the very best, as a group, they were just
functional. Individually, money and tenure speaks volumes.
Term limits looks good for judges, to some people. We should explore term limits at every electable Federal official.

Yes, Level 1 is essentially the 'peaceful' type insurgency, more a political thing, than violence, it looks like it would be combatted with psyop
rather than force.

Well, i think it's one of those things, you may not be actually breaking any laws until someone does violence, but in the 'interests of the
country' you will heavily watched and subverted.

It's not a question of how, solarskye, but why.
One must always remember why it is nessecary, and that remembrance will give him the drive to try every single thing he can think of.
That includes the insane method, which involves attacking symbols of the current establishment's power.
