Ealier today, I saw a reprt on the local news (Oxfordshire) that a UFO was spotted over Oxford. I've just googled it, and searched the BBC and local
paper's sites, and I cannot find anything. There was also a video, that is nowhere to be found. The TV station said that they'd had many calls from
many different people reporting the event, and that they have checked with the local airbase's and they said there were no test runs of aircraft, and
nothing was observed on the radar.
Yet... There is no information to be found anywhere.
Can anyone confirm this? Did you see the report? Or the UFO?
I'm quite annoyed that I didn't see it.

I'm afraid not, it was reported on the local news on television.
I've searched the net, including the BBC and all the local newspaper sites, and even searched YouTube, and I can't find anything.
It looks like it's been hushed.

Could it be that it was reporting about these old
sightings, by any chance?
(I know, old stories don't exactly qualify as "news", but there can be special circumstances.)

Nope, it wasn't that. It happened on Tuesday or Wednesdat night (1st and 2nd of July) I think. It's very frustrating that I cannot find anything on
it.
Someone else must have seen the report, surely? Anyone?

I live just outside Oxford and caught the end of that report....have been looking on here(via searches) and have not seen any info on it yet?
Can you give some other details that were in the broadcast?
I missed it and am slightly annoyed, they're everywhere but near me it seems.(at least recently)
All this activity in the uk and now one (ufo) that could have been flying right over me.....grrrrrrrrrr

I'm glad you saw it! I thought I was going crazy for a bit then.
All I can recall from the report is what I've written in the first post.
I've just tried, again to find something on it, and there is literally nothing. Not even a blog.
It's very frustrating.

I saw the TV news report also - and have been searching for the news item with no luck. However, during my recent search I came across a story in the
Reading Evening Post website that tells of a man reporting a UFO sighting on the morning of 30th June, a few days before! Sighting was reported to
police and was somewhere over M4 Reading. This man was driving from London. Check it out!

Yes Anonymous...please post your photo we're all very interested in seeing it.
Chewlip...
Do you think they'd cover it up even after all the sightings going on and being reported about on the news in the UK? I hope you all can find the
video, good luck in your search will star and flag in the hopes that the photo and the video are posted

UFO seen over M4 service area
By Anna Roberts
3/ 7/2008
Police have confirmed they have received a report that a UFO was spotted in the skies above Berkshire.
Thames Valley Police were contacted by a concerned man who spotted the ‘flying saucer’ hovering above Chieveley services at junction 13 of the
M4.
Reading Police spokesman Adam Fisher, when contacted by the Evening Post, confirmed officers had been told about the X-Files-style object.
He said: “We were called at 8.40am on Monday, June 30, by a man from London who reported seeing a UFO over the Chieveley area that morning. His
details have been passed on to a body that specialises in that field.”

If you're in Oxfordshire, then Brill is a good place.
Up on the hill where the windmill is....i've seen lights there and shotover before.
Seems the UK is "buzzing" at the moment with UFO fever, at least in the MSM and for those that believe.
It's funny they end most reports with a sly dig or a jokey comment....although it's in the media, it's still not being taken totally
seriously....it's a shame.... more people should wake up to the truth and get out of their bubble/box/comfort zone and go out and search for the
truth.

Shotovers an evil place.
I have been to few places that give me the creeps so bad I feel sick to the core, but shotover manages it almost instantaneously.
The 'plain' at the top is one of the weirdest, most creepiest places to stand and watch from... its just... so damn creepy.
bbbrrrrrrr gives me the chills.

Def man, very old land and very, very creepy at night.
I used to mountain bike a lot and we always up there and it was fine, but going back now, older and at night, def adrenalin rush or i'm more
aware..
Great Rollright too, where the rollright stones are, that place has always creeped me out.
Another kinda mystical or "electric place".
I find those seem more active than your built up areas.
But then it may have been "ours" The ufo in the OP.
i live with croughton,RAF Lyneham, Brize norton R.A.F Benson and army bases and others, all within 20-30 mins.
If their testing stuff, maybe it's from the numerous bases?

I love shotover! I've been for lovely picnics and things there. Never been at night though... apparently it's a hotspot for dogging
I've been to the rollwright stones at night, on the search for ghosts, it was pretty creepy, but it was also snowing, and very cold, so we didn't
stick around for long.
Anyway, back on topic... There's still no luck with finding reports of this. I have emailed
these people to see if they know anything, they are UFO experts, and are based near
Oxford, so I figured they might know something. Waiting to hear back.

Whereabouts in Oxfordshire was this?
Lots of strange stuff has been happening round our way recently.
I'm not saying these occurrences are connected to the sightings, but there are too many things happening for it to be just the usual stuff you get
round the area

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was in Oxford, rather than Oxfordshire... but saying that, I imagine it has to travel, so maybe it was seen in more
than one place.
