Cops kill doctor for betting on football games

Story is from 2006, but it's making its way around the web again, so I thought I would post it for those who never heard of it.

Because there is almost never a complaining victim in vice crimes, law enforcement offers must go to extraordinary lengths to investigate and prosecute these crimes. This leads to all sorts of other problems, including invasions of privacy, entrapment, and police corruption.

The sad case of Salvatore Culosi provides a recent, vivid illustration of the folly of vice laws. Culosi (as irony would have it, he was named after a police officer) was a 37-year old optometrist in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Fairfax, Virginia. According to friends, Culosi was a wealthy, self-made man. He was easygoing and friendly, a guy who enjoyed his success.

According to press accounts, police affidavits, and the resulting investigation by the Fairfax prosecutor's office, Baucom called Culosi that evening, and told him he'd be by to collect his winnings. With the SWAT team at the ready just behind him, Baucom waited outside Culosi's home in an SUV. As Culosi emerged from the doorway, clad only in a t-shirt and jeans, SWAT officer Deval Bullock's finger apparently slipped to the trigger of his Heckler & Koch MP5 semiautomatic weapon, already aimed at the unarmed Culosi.

The gun fired, releasing a bullet that entered Culosi's side, then ripped through his chest and struck his heart, killing him instantly.

The SWAT cop needs to be charged with murder. The cop who initially entrapped the doctor should be charged with accessory to murdder, and the candyass DA who has never filed a charge against a cop needs to be imprisoned for fraud, corruption, and countless other charges.

Agreed. How did his finger "slip"? Aren't SWAT guys trained professionals? His weapon should have been on safety anyways, let alone with his finger on the trigger.

Cops are psychopaths, well most of them are. When you see a cop pull a gun in a situation which calls for no weapons to be at the ready, you will notice the cop is like a pitbull bouncing around and twitching.

The psychopath cop is dreaming you are ready to make his day by acting out the worst case scenario in his head. This is where reality and wishfull thinking collide.

The cop wants you to give a reson to call upon his training so he can be justified in hurting you, maiming you, killing you with his weapons training.

You will notice the legal system supports this by brushing off incidents such as this whether the cops bust in the wrong door or incite confrontation with unarmed contacts resulting in deadly force.

If a cop shoots some one and that some one is innocent, weaponless, and no threat, the people who witness the incident should pull there weapons and perform the same deed to the psychopath.
