I'm happy its got its license, but I'm fed up at the same time, because I can't afford to get down to Waddington this weekend, and it will almost
certainly be added to the display at RIAT next weekend, and I can't afford the £100 it would cost to get down there, pay for entry, eat etc - not to
mention the 7 hour round driving trip.
Talk about last minute. Up until a week ago they were struggling to get funds to sort out the display license.
C'est la vie, as they say.
If you do see it, do me a favour? Get loads of photos and the highest quality sound recording you can of it taking off. That roar is....spectacular.
(which reminds me, if you have a car alarm with sonic sensors, turn it off!)
I used to see the Vulcan at Woodford every year in the 80's until it was grounded , and really would love to see it up close and in person again
