And your source for that prettily coloured pie-chart is...?

According to The Big Religion Comparison Chart from ReligionFacts, the number of atheists (including those citing 'agnostic' and 'no religion' in surveys) is 1.1 billion.

This makes atheists the biggest grouping after Christians (3 billion) and Muslims (1.3 billion).

Up to your old tricks again, eh, Ashley D?

i keep hearing someone talk about how reliegion dosent accept anything past bla, bla, bla.
Fact is if u truly look at ALL the worlds religions,Not just the new ones, u see most belive in many earth cycles, civilizations that have risen and fallen, and many others.just exploreing christan,or cathloic based faiths isnt a true exploration of all religeon.
study hindu, tao, zorastirizm,or any of the many lesser known religions so u may gather a better understanding of how ancient people say the world.
I know we like to think we are at the penical of our existance, but all it would take is 1 mantle shift of the earth to erase all this.So in concluse i belive there where many advanced cultures, that rose and fell, just as we are now.

So many ways to own you I don't know where to begin.

1.1 billion as in...

Or...

Or...

'1.1 billion' as compared to 5.5 billion theists? As in, they would still be in the minority to make my previous comment accurate? As in simple mathematics most of us learned in the second grade?

Or...

If you look at the stats I showed on page one that added up to approximately 20% atheists/non-theists world wide, that would give us over 1 billion non-theists? 20% of ~6.7 billion people on earth? ~1.34 billion? My numbers are similar to yours- greater even. Math anyone?

Education. Important.

Or...

The fact my first post already took your point into consideration by "including those citing 'agnostic' and 'no religion.'" As well as non theistic religions?

Or...

THIS where I have already explained my first post was facetious and how my joke is logically fallacious?

Now be a good man and pop on back over to THIS thread and join up with your comrade from the ATT. All I saw was you acting like a child in a school yard claiming to know something special but refusing to tell and your partner in crime citing silly poetry.

Up to your old tricks again, eh, Ashley D?

And what old tricks would those be? Let me know in your reply.

But you are too, it seems... pedantic whining.

Anyways, I'm not interested. Take care.

Well that’s a very clever analogy,

aha, let me guess ....Because you say so or... ?
I have no idea why you think it's a baised analogy, care to tell me why ?
It uses COMMON sense, somehting that religious people seem to fear, cause' it makes them THINK about their beliefs, and see how ridiculous they are.

Your quote makes patent jphish assertion it isn't only biased,, it is downright anti creationist and all pro evolution.

Oh in case you are wondering smart guy,,, Yeah I say so as I don't see anyone else typing for me.

YES really ! Time after time i try to debate Fundamentalist christians, and the ONLY argument they ever give me is "IT's IN THE BIBLE !!!!! GOD SAID SO" They use this shady badly distorted and translated ancient book to explain SCIENTIFIC questions. the bible is the only tool they have, and it's a broken one.

hehe I guarantee you won't get that kind of thing from J so go ahead lets see how intelligent you really are

It would be ironic if your analogy made ANY sense, but it doens't, at all...sorry to burst your bubble!

ha ha it was YOUR analogy LOL, he was just borrowing it and showing you how it works both ways ok bubbles?

You see unlike creationism, Evolution has tons of evidence to support it, it uses logic to determine something, and needs proof to back it up
Creationism doens't need that, as long as you find some shady quote in the Bible (whichever translation/interpretation or version of it) about what's beeing discussed, it's enough to be "evidence".

Ya know what smart guy,, Quit talking about all the damn labor pains and SHOW ME THE BABY!

I keep hearing about mountains and mountains galaxy a universe of evidence but what you got that can't be ripped apart as nothing ,more then atheist wishful thinking subjective opinion or as is the usual case,, another damn HOAX. Show me some proof prima facie evidence for transmutation from one species to another complete disfferen't species.

You should be able to find something

Blah Blah Blah If I had a nickle for everytime I had to listen to all the creative adjectives to describe the guargantuan size of the bullcrap evolutionist call "evidence" I'd be rich, if I had a nickle for all the times someone actually put up something to substantiate macro evolution,,

I wouldn't have a nickle to my name

Oh my, i seem to have struck a nerve,... i bet you feel like a hero for calling me "smart guy", i wonder does one get point from "god" for defending ignorance ?

Ya know what smart guy,, Quit talking about all the damn labor pains and SHOW ME THE BABY!

Face it, you don't even want to see the "baby", period, even if the "baby" was shown to you you'dd still dismiss it with some delusional religious mumbo jumbo.

If you really would want to see the baby, you'dd have searched and found it yourself, I know I did...It's out there, Mountains of evidence before you to continiue to ignore.

See, when evolutionary explanations/evidence are found (again and again, inform yourself, it's really not my duty to help you ignorance) the creationists shrug and move to the next currently unexplained system.

This is the sure sign of pseudoscience - the hypothesis is permanently exempted from refutation by experience.

I liken the debate to a jigsaw puzzle that does not have its picture on the box.
Science is trying to put it together, while religious dogma is looking over his shoulder.
Dogma feels strongly that the resulting picture will be a unicorn, while Science has speculated a hypothesis based on viewing the individual pieces that the picture is of a bear.
The more Science puts it together, the more the puzzle begins to look like a bear.
Dogma begins to get more and more upset. "I don't know why you're bothering, it's obviously a unicorn!" he chortles.
Science shrugs, and continues assembling the pieces. The picture begins to look even more like a bear, until it's almost unmistakable.
Every once in a while, Science will have to correct an error and move a piece. Religion shrieks with glee at this. "See?! You put that piece in the wrong place! Your wishful thinking that it's a bear made you make a mistake! Since you're wrong, I am therefore right, and the picture is of a unicorn!"

"But what about all the other pieces I did get right? Can't you see by the rest of them it's obviously a bear?" replies Science.
"You just don't want to admit it's a unicorn! Your arrogance is getting in the way!" screams Dogma lividly.
Science just shrugs, and continues with the puzzle.

Nope, nothin. Let me try it again,,

SSsssSSSMart GUY...

MMmm Nah, nuthin

i wonder does one get point from "god" for defending ignorance ?

No

well that all depends, would it be JavaBaby or Piltdown baby? Maybe Coelacanth baby? or how about Lucy Baby? Archaeopteryx Baby?

Go ahead,, try me, show me the next Hoax baby so I can justify your excuse to call me delusional, it still won't make your hoax any more legitimate nor will it give me any justifiable reason to call you smart guy. Umm are you here to just talk smack or can we get down to seeing your latest transitional Faux

If you really would want to see the baby, you'dd have searched and found it y. ourself, I know I did...It's out there, Mountains of evidence before you to continiue to ignore

I don't know why

mmm I got it you think you know what you are talking about, but I never took you for a liar let alone figured out the creationist secret decoder ring with our secret shrug. Personally, I don't know why you started the thread if all you are going to do is make sweeping generalizations about creationists or is it your a mind reader?

Funny thing about those puzzles, when you look on the cover of the box, you can see as plane as day what the truth is and when you know the truth having seen the picture on the Box, You can be as dogmatic as you want.

Sometimes, it isn't dogma,, sometimes,

it's just someone, trying to keep you

from wasting your

damn time

So you dispute the 1st law of thermo dymanics? What law do you know of that contradicts this? or are you relying on science fiction?

To go one step further, lets say that there are representatives from each of the major religions in the Creationist room and the same number of scientists in the Evolution room.

Wait a couple hours and check each room.

The Evolution room will be a mess from all the journals being pulled out but quiet while the scientists review the materials presented to them.

The Creation room will be trashed and everyone will be dead or dying in pools of their own blood.

Pretty susbstantial difference.
