The cop could have asked the kid if he just swallowed weed or something else.
Note what it says about they didnt find any drugs in his mouth and he passed a drug test the next day.
so again there is no training in the world for every situation that occurs outside of the calss room or training room ,you have to be human in that situation.

Here's a hypothetical for you. Officer suspects person of having information about a terrorist attack on a piece of paper. Person appears to be swallowing something. Can the officer choke him to get the paper?
