MADRID, July 1 (Reuters) - OPEC will not be able to replace some 4 million barrels per day in lost Iranian output if Tehran carries out its threat to stop oil exports if attacked, OPEC President Chakib Khelil said on Tuesday.

"It's obvious that if you curtail 4 million bpd from the market, you are going to have a big problem," he said. "I don't see who can replace that, including OPEC," Khelil told a news conference in Madrid.

Knowing how hell bent on war Israel and The White House are we have a lot to start worrying about.

Just like with Iraq, I think it was Wolfawitz who made statements about the price of oil going down if we attacked and over threw Hussein, attacking Iran no matter how much they try to spin it will be disaster.

Sadly this time it looks like the US is only going to "back up" Israel and most likely covertly so we wont even get to pretend we have a voice.

Seeing this it seems that the announcement of Iraq opening up there Oil fields to bid is the card being played by OUR GOVERNMENT to try and circumvent any loss in Oil supply on the global market WHEN the attack happens.

It looks like we will go to no end in making this a reality. Either Israel or the US will attack Iran soon.

This certainly does not help our cause for any reason even if they start releasing vast amounts of Oil from Iraq because the speculators are running the market now.............

This is them warning, be prepared for the consequences in my mind
